Has this event (this Thursday/Friday 9/10th May) been mentioned on here already? The website is stating that there are a few places left. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/womens-grassroots-activism-ahrc-research-network-online-conference-tickets-856155954507?keep_tld=1
The workshop seeks to explore the question ‘How have grassroots women’s organisations effectively championed women’s rights, locally and globally, since 1918?’ and seeks to foster discussion with current members of women’s organisations to identify how past activism can inform current campaigns.
Alongside keynote talks by Professor Pat Thane and Professor Lynn Abrams, we will have an array of papers from women’s history academics and postgraduate students.
I'm very interested but don't know anything about the Women's Grassroots Activism Network, or LSBU who are hosting the event. Has anyone any more information? Thanks.
