TRAs are currently in a gleeful froth over on TwiX because they apparently think a misogynist being misogynistic is Le Epic Win & Pwning of JKR.

Musk responded to JKR’s current pinned tweet (defining what a woman is) with While I heartily agree with your points regarding sex/gender, may I suggest also posting interesting and positive content on other matters?

Yes. Do shut up about the torture & murder of women & girls in Iran - it’s icky. Musk says the regime are fluffy bunnies. Musk might have flagged one of Khamenei’s posts, but he allows the account to stand; & to spew hate.

Presumably JKR posting about her work & pictures of her dogs just doesn’t register with Musk. TRAs will happily ignore it for their agenda 🙄

Imagine demanding an infamously private person change how she uses the platform you bought & have mangled. The sheer EGO of the man 🤦‍♀️

He presumably wants to try to reduce the volume of reports the system gets every time she posts on TwiX; because TRAs are apparently convinced that if they just report everything for everything at some point they’ll HAVE to manage to get JKR suspended from TwiX, at least. Despite never having done so. Nor even having managed a deleted Tweet. Their attempts at Content Notes are an absolute embarrassment as well 🤦‍♀️

He also seems to like a bit of drama - offering out Zuckerberg for a cage fight and dick measuring contest. It could be an attempt to draw more traffic to the platform.

He has 850mln followers: I thought by posting he was bringing the matter to the top of his followers timeline without risk of being accused of incitement. But no one can really know.

He apparently loves being trolly - taking anything he says at face value seems unwise.

The practical effect is to give an even bigger boost to what JKR is talking about - he's got 10x the number of followers. Maybe that's what he wants, maybe not. Doesn't matter.

It cues up the potential for JKR to compose a comeback - visible to the same even bigger audience - maybe about how "interesting and positive" kicking gender out would be to so many "other matters".

Reminds me a bit of some of Dawkins' previous utterances. But no matter how annoying, more sunlight is always good.

Being autistic doesn’t make telling a woman to stop talking about something and to talk about something else OK. It might mean you are less able to hide your intent.

For those who had no joy looking; when searching for a specific TwiX post it’s often better to search online rather than on TwiX just “Rowling Musk Twitter” got me this right away; with less-famous individuals the text of the TwiX [in quotation marks] will get you there 🙂

He is a massive twat (remember calling the guy rescuing kids stuck in a cave in Thailand a paedophile?), but I agree he has done some good things. JKR would probably have been banned from Twitter for her GC stance, under the old regime - she didn't speak out nearly as much until recently.

It seems that women have to choose between being silenced or patronised.

I don't know if it was his motivation, but i think we are going to see a lot of responses along this line - yes we know its a problem, but the solution is too difficult therefore can we all agree its bad and move on?

There're lots of people who thought they were being nice to say TWAW, now see whats going on but dont want to start doing the nasty things like saying TWAM. The TRA will want to consolidate their gains, keep quiet for a while before ramping up again. And there are the men who see their libertarian rights being at risk, so want us to talk about bitcoin or something instead.

Don't forget Elon has a young adult son who identifies as female. Although he is clearly in agreement with the GC position regarding biology it seems like he is drifting toward the "be kind" brigade. Maybe he gets constant rants and complaints from various Twiiter/X employees about her refusal to shut up and this is his pathetic idea of a compromise?
Mostly I'm sure he has no idea how women feel, especially as he constantly keeps dumping them and starting new families.
