Hold onto your hats, everyone!

'Now concerns have been raised about the ease of availability of “DIY” hormones online, and whether young people might increasingly turn to the hidden economy, including drug dealers, to obtain the hormones illegally.
Dr Alison Cave, the chief safety officer at the UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), said: “Patient safety is our top priority, and we strongly advise that people do not self-prescribe or try to obtain medicines from an unregulated source.'

The Bayswater Group are asked for comment!

For some reason I feel like listening to this song:

Concerns as cross-sex hormones available online for just £11 a month

The ‘Trans Safety Network’ is using suicide threats in that piece.

Confusing article. Are they trying to argue that cross sex hormones SHOULD be prescribed on the NHS because pp can get them online...?

I wonder if this recent apparent change of heart could have anything to do with them going broke 🧐

That's interesting. I wonder if other papers are doing the same.

"New information". I mean it isn't. Not for people with access to the internet anyway..!

When I read this article earlier today, I worried that given the Guardian's stance, they were actually non too sneakily signposting people to this sort of treatment.

Maybe I am too jaded, I hope so.

This was actually a much fairer article than I expected, talking to Bayswater, the government and a detrasitioner(!!!!)'s mum in addition to the usual suspects. Goodness me.
