I'm reading the print edition so don't have a share token but a great column about 'Sex Work' and that paying for sex is not liberating, but abuse.

Great to see it set out so plainly. She doesn't beat around the bush.

Thank you for the share-token @nythbran2 it makes a good read. These men just have no logic, nor the ability to extrapolate their treatment of women to their own family/relatives/offspring

I quite frequently have to speak to people (men and women) who have worked as prostitutes at some time, and ask them details about their experiences. I generally do use the term sex work to them when asking them about it, unless they themselves use a different term. Saying "were you a prostitute?" sounds more intimidating to me than "have you ever done any sex work?". I stand to be corrected by people who have different views though.

Bit of a derail, but elsewhere in today’s Sunday Times Sarah Ditum has reviewed the book ‘Sluts’ by Beth Ashley. Sarah didn’t think it was very good.

I was surprised on reaching the end of the review to find the book is published by Penguin. What with this and the Shon Faye book, Penguin appear to be publishing some terrible tripe these days.
