We're helping women and girls make informed decisions about their health.

Get the most up-to-date information on #WomensHealth on the NHS website including:

â—¾ painful periods
â—¾ adenomyosis
â—¾ menopause symptoms
â—¾ breast health
â—¾ cancer screening

Looks good to me. Women, with no qualifiers and taking about women's health issues.

I know it's said a lot on here but it really feels like the barge has turned and is heading back to shore. The crew are trying to mutany but the captain is back in charge.

OK I have clicked through, it takes you to this page
Women's health - NHS (www.nhs.uk)

A lot of the pages talk about women and girls, with a few scattered 'women and anyone with a vulva' type of descriptors.

I do agree, the tanker is turning.

I would be interested when these pages were updated.

I don't think it is quite the good sign that the NHS is going to continue using sexed language. More likely multiple people responsible for updating the website with varying degrees of knowledge of the style guidelines.

It is nice to see though..

The newer twitter post is reassuring

Small steps and all that.
It is a positive sign that finally the extreme transactivists are being told they cannot remove women from women's healthcare - no matter how much they want to.

PronounsBaby · 09/04/2024 18:59

A small step which can really help with this kind of thing is that if the department of health and social care post gets a lot of 'engagement' and a lot of 'likes' then the social media team will hopefully use simple sexed based language again.

I also think they would have been aware of the 2.5k comments the NHS London's 'anyone with ovaries can get ovarian cancer ' got and perhaps (fingers crossed) decided not to go down the gender neutral route...

So if you are on twitter - go heart that post. Send them a sign!
