BBC complaints - how is everyone getting on?

Hi all,

One of the threads today reminded me to get on with following up to the BBC on my complaint about Scarlet Blake being referred to as a woman. Has anyone got any further than this second stage?

How about complaints on Justin Webb being reprimanded for "trans women are male" (I didn't do one of these) - any progress?

Any others in the pipeline?

No you don't have to pay. i have no aerial, even if I did I wouldn't watch it. You just report that you don't watch tv, they confirm, then you get to keep your cash!

No it isn't.

And it only went up to £169 today.

You only have to pay if : You watch OR record on ANY device live broadcast TV on ANY channel ( not just BBC channels ). Or if you use iPlayer in any way.

If you watch video on demand e.g. Netflix you don't need a TV license as long as it's not a live broadcast e.g. live sports.

So basically, you have nothing of relevance to contribute to this thread.

Thanks. It puzzles me: I'm confident it would be fine, with no T.V licence, to listen to the B.B.C live radio broadcasts, on a radio, all day long if wanted.
But what about using a laptop to listen, catching up on the one or two radio things which seem worth hearing? Does Sounds Radio-catch-up count as "using iPlayer"?

I guess I should have been clearer in the title of my post. I assumed that posting in the FWR section, about Scarlet Blake and Justin Webb, would be enough to indicate that I am actually interested in complaints to the BBC about their biased attitude to TWAW, but it seems not.

Apologies, that was an inadvertent derail. I do follow the thread, and do cheer on the efforts. Thank you, and all in the trenches. I need to draw breath, as it were, before trying yet again to beat my head against the closed BBC. (Have to admit I have become battered down with trying to fight them).

Yearly, daily, their contempt for everyone grows, and so does their display of fully-worshipping Cult belief. Until someone (Janice??) wrote details in The Times, I didn't even know the BBC had been such a major Tavistock influencer, with their Cult-Advocacy edition, broadcast on CBBC, their channel for young children, and normally trusted to broadcast the likes of Shaun, and Peppa.

(Roughly, they told the little kiddies and parents that changing sex is a good, harmless idea, reassuring them that it can be reversed at any time, "just like pressing a pause button".) After that endorsement, from that authority, Tavistock trade shot up. Well, of course BBC won't mention WARPATH as a news item now, will they?

Brielv · 03/04/2024 15:31

Are there particular shows on the CBBC/CBeebies that suggest that changing sex is easy? I normally don't check what my child watches on CBeebies, is there something us parents should be aware of? I'll try to search that article.

Got response to followup complaint re Scarlet Blake, saying basically the same as before, and if I'm not satisfied I now need to complain to the Executive Complaints Unit. "You’ll need to explain why you think there’s a potential breach of standards, or if the issue is significant and should still be investigated."

Well I certainly think it's a significant issue!

I complained about the treatment of Justin Webb and got the ‘we’ve decided and that’s that’ response (twice).

Given that Tim Davie said that he hadn’t had many complaints I copied both of mine to him, but have had no response.

I hope Tim Davie’s inbox was stacked with complaints.
