Lynne Pinches posted a video of Kim refusing to take part in this male entitlement charade: https://twitter.com/PinchesLynne/status/1763217887500685339

It shouldn't have to be this way but well done Kim on taking the tough but principled decision to walk away 👏👏👏

Well done, Kim. Brave and principled.

Cosmosforbreakfast · 01/03/2024 11:31

Good on Kim. Every small step counts. A win by default is not any kind of win and that male player must be aware of that.

wantmorenow · 01/03/2024 12:04

Well done Kim

  • thank you
Whatsnewpussyhat · 01/03/2024 12:05

Another amazing woman.

pickledandpuzzled · 01/03/2024 12:27

Is it a career that can be extended a little longer than other sports? I’m hoping she has a few more years and gets the same opportunities when he’s been excluded.

WickedSerious · 01/03/2024 12:27

Well done Kim.

A shame she had to do this but it seems to be the only way to draw attention to this bullshit.

Durdledore · 01/03/2024 12:36

Thank you Kim, may more sportswomen follow your lead.

Thinking about the swimming that’s been in the news, imagine if all the swimmers had pulled out and that bloke was the only one standing by the poolside.

Things would HAVE to change if all sportswomen did what you did, Kim!

Thank you again!!

Emotionalsupportviper · 01/03/2024 12:40

Interesting framing from the victor.

Interesting framing, indeed @UltraLiteLife .

As they say "recollections may vary". 🤔

("Dominate" is a very male word, somehow, isn't it . . . . ?)

Better still - if they waited until the signal went and then just stood up straight, and left the man/men to swim alone.

How soon would he notice, I wonder.

ADoggyDogWorld · 01/03/2024 12:44

Well done Kim, a mighty woman indeed.

I noted 'Ram it home' too.

I noted 'Ram it home' too.

Wow, anyone listening, who knew what had happened, would think this m.....player is delusional.

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2024 12:48

"I thought I'd dominated from the beginning ... I just tried to ram it home"

Haynes.

Did ye, aye?

Well spotted!

I think we could probably assemble a "Freudian Male Language Bingo Card" if we put our collective (hive*?) minds to it.

*Almost all of the bees we see are female, and are working like billy-o for the swarm, not for themselves. Remind you of any particular sex (in general)?

BornInSin · 01/03/2024 12:55

Is there a way of getting a message to her from all of us.
What a wonderful woman.

heathspeedwell · 01/03/2024 12:59

What a fantastic, principled stance.

Shame that so few men are keen to stand up for fairness in sport.

I dont mean to be funny but that video of the ‘winner’ honestly was in response to the fabulous Kim forfeiting?

really?

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2024 13:11

The dominating one ramming it home? Yes.

ArabellaScott · 01/03/2024 13:11

Oh, I see what you mean. Maybe he was talking about a different match?

IcakethereforeIam · 01/03/2024 13:12

Rufus, I think so. But it's so batshit I'm wondering myself. Perhaps it was from or referring to a different game?

RufustheFactualReindeer · 01/03/2024 13:16

That is one completely delusional interview if so…

catscatscurrantscurrants · 01/03/2024 14:34

Well done to Kim.

duc748 · 01/03/2024 14:35

Good stuff, Kim. This is (hopefully!) lining up to be a PR nightmare for the pool authorities, just at a time when they are hoping to expand into the big-time TV market. I watch a fair bit of pool, and from listening to the commentaries, you'd have no idea that HH is male (if you didn't already know); I wonder how long this 'say nothing' pretence can be kept up?

Why is that man talking as if they actually played a match?

She fucked you off mate, get a grip.

WomaninBoots · 01/03/2024 15:03

Also, bloody well done Kim. What a woman! It devastates me that a woman has to give up her opportunities to make a point, but what a boss move. Brave.

Fuck these men. Fuck them.
