Nex Benedict false narrative

theprettywreckless · 27/02/2024 12:29

Autopsy has revealed the non binary student did not die as a result of trauma.
Police cam and school CCTV has also revealed that the student started the fight with the 3 girls by pouring water on them and that all of the students walked out of the school bathroom where the fight took placed, of their own accord. Police body cam shows Nex chatting away in a hospital bed admitting they started the fight.

So the narrative that they were beaten to a pulp and left for dead in the school bathroom was completely false.

Of course it’s very sad a child has died, but it is looking more like they took their own life. Not that they were murdered as a hate crime.

Yes Nex is female. Pronouns can be either she, they or he though apparently, depending on who and when.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 29/02/2024 23:45

Sorry, Nex was female.

It was suicide

https://news.sky.com/story/nex-benedict-death-of-non-binary-student-ruled-a-suicide-by-medical-examiner-13094395

The they/them pronoun makes it hard to follow what happened in the toilets.

I hope this gets the tras off the backs of the other girls caught up in this.

Dreadful shame, Nex was obviously troubled, not living with her parents, I bet there's a whole story there. Tormenting the falsely accused isn't going to bring Nex back. Just add to the sadness and misery.

Nex Benedict: Death of non-binary student ruled a suicide by medical examiner

Nex Benedict, who used they/them pronouns and did not identify as male or female, died a day after getting into an altercation with three girls inside a school toilet.

No I think it will make it worse. But I hope the girls and friends and family are getting support. It’s a horrendous type of bereavement and doesn’t need a misguided social media mob to pile on.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/03/2024 23:49

I agree @Tinysoxxx

It's awful.

NitroNine · 20/03/2024 07:58

There are now TRAs insisting the M.E. is lying & it is all an anti-trans conspiracy. They absolutely will not let go of “Nex was beaten to death” & “he/they just splashed some water after being bullied for months”.

So desperate are these people - seemingly almost all grown adults - for a child to have been murdered that they have just decided Nex was murdered & the crime is being covered up in a further heaping of transphobia. (I think this one is being blamed on Libs of TikTok & the State Governor though, JKR must have been taking a day off).

pickledandpuzzled · 20/03/2024 08:56

That’s sunlight.

All attempts to harass those three girls and their families should be heavily investigated and prosecuted.

IcakethereforeIam · 20/03/2024 09:18

I admit it was more a hope than a belief that the ME's report would draw a line under it. I absolutely did not expect the batshit response of the tras denying the report!

I don't understand why I'm surprised. People capable of denying the truth of biological sex have an, at best, tenuous grip on reality.

There is a whole story there, if what I've just been reading on X/Twitter is to be believed. It seems this poor child's father had just come out of prison after serving five years for sexual abuse of his daughter, Nex, birth name Dagney. Poor, poor kid. She was adopted by her grandmother after her father's crimes became known, and she moved to Oklahoma. A classic case of a young girl wanting to dissociate herself from the female body which had been so badly abused. She had already been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She took an overdose of prescription drugs and there was substantial evidence of a history of self-harm.

Joe Biden issued a statement about Nex, which reads as perpetuating the idea that she took her own life as a result of transphobic bullying at school. I have no idea what may or may not have gone on at school, but there was clearly a lot going on in this child's life. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2024/03/14/statement-from-president-joe-biden-on-nex-benedict/#:~:text=Jill%20and%20I%20are%20heartbroken,school%20and%20in%20their%20communities.

Daily Mail report (sorry, but it's a UK source and seems factual) on the autopsy findings: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13250627/Nex-Benedicts-autopsy-bipolar-self-harm-suicide.html

Here's a site with a further account include the father's criminal conviction. I'm not sure of the site's affiliations, but facts are facts. https://ocpathink.org/post/independent-journalism/queer-activist-calls-for-keeping-oklahoma-parents-in-the-dark-about-childs-mental-health#:~:text=An%20affidavit%20issued%20on%20July,years%20in%20prison%20in%20Arkansas.

The spin put on this tragedy by activists is shocking.

Nonbinary teen Nex Benedict's full autopsy is released

The autopsy of Nex Benedict revealed that the nonbinary teenager from Oklahoma suffered from multiple mental illnesses and abused drugs prior to their tragic suicide.

pickledandpuzzled · 30/03/2024 06:21

Oh that poor wee girl.
if he’d been in prison five years, plus the trial, she was abused when very young. Bastards.

IcakethereforeIam · 30/03/2024 08:40

Oh no, poor girl!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 30/03/2024 09:30

Yes I saw this on the Blocked and Reported subreddit. Absolutely horrific.

stealtheatingtunnocks · 30/03/2024 09:31

Poor kid.

it is interesting that man is not being blamed for the child’s misery, only female classmates?

who the fuck affirms a kid with a history like that?

ghouls

Ereshkigalangcleg · 30/03/2024 09:34

Because the people talking about it are only interested in her presumed trans identity (which seems to not be particularly well established, either) so they can make a martyr for the trans movement.

KellieJaysLapdog · 30/03/2024 10:11

Poor Nex.

The refusal to look at the reality of gender distressed kid’s complex and traumatic backgrounds is letting them all down.

ArabellaScott · 30/03/2024 10:25

Christ almighty. What a horrific story. That poor, poor child. And now her memory being used to further a bullshit narrative. Unconscionable.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 30/03/2024 10:29

And the only family member who cared about her, her grandmother was monstered for "deadnaming" her by the ghouls as a pp said at the start of the thread.

KellieJaysLapdog · 30/03/2024 10:46

Horrifying that Nex’s father only served 5 years.

KellieJaysLapdog · 30/03/2024 11:17

Oh and yes, props to Grandma for doing her best in difficult circumstances - there is absolutely no evidence that Nex was anything other than a nickname used by peers, it’s perfectly reasonable that Granny used Dagny and she/her pronouns - lots of teens use alt names with friends and it’s not necessarily anything to do with trans (eg some of my childhood friends were ‘Yogi’ ‘Stinger’ and ‘Puddy’. Poor ‘Snarf’ is now almost 50 and still referred to as if a Thundercats character)

I cannot imagine how awful it is for the bereaved families of these vulnerable teens to find themselves in the middle of an activist narrative (see also Esther Ghey, who is now being criticised by trans activists for wanting to limit teens exposure to damaging content online).

An independent photojournalist, Jeremy Lee Quinn, tweeted about this
on March 17th https://twitter.com/jeremyreporter/status/1769470567164551411

Here's the case info. Her father was only sentenced to 5 years (and probably served less than that).

https://caseinfo.arcourts.gov/opad/case/66FCR-19-560

See also https://caseinfo.arcourts.gov/opad/search?context=participants&searchTerm=2641193 which shows that her father was arrested on January 25th, 2024 for either failing to report his address or register as a sex offender. If Dagny/Nex heard about this, it was probably weighing on her mind: if he doesn't report those things, how can she feel a little bit safer knowing where he is? Her dad being out of prison had to worry her a lot too, even if she tried to push it out of her mind.

Kiwi Farms talks about this case in the Alejandra Caraballo thread in the Stinkditch forum. I think someone on Kiwi Farms may have been the first to report that her father raped her when she was 9.

https://twitter.com/jeremyreporter/status/1769470567164551411

GenderlessVoid · 31/03/2024 00:50

Her father's 60 month sentence makes my blood boil. I know elderly ppl who are still haunted by their abuse as a child, esp when it was their father. As Crankywiddershins said, it's a life sentence for the victim.

He was supposed to love her and take care of her, not use her as a sex toy for his own fleeting pleasure and leave her broken. 60 months seems like a slap on the wrist for what he did to Dagny/Nex. She was nine.

KellieJaysLapdog · 31/03/2024 12:47

5 years is revolting. 10-15 years would’ve given the poor kid time to become an adult and move to the other side of the country before the abusive dad was released.

Looks like dad’s back inside for parole violation now tho?

I can't tell if he's in jail now. It looks like bond of 15,000 USD was set on March 5th. My guess is that he's out on bond.
