Bethany Hamilton was allegedly dropped over threatening to boycott a competition which allowed men to compete with women.

Well, that's lovely, isn't it? They got rid of a disabled woman and used this person instead. Haven't they got the wit to realise that it'll be off-putting to many women? Or do they simply not care?

The disgusting comments towards Bethany from "I'm so moral and righteous" trans activists and their allies are always quite something, too.

I have actually bought RipCurl gear in the past - won’t be buying it again.

Makes me seethe to see these mediocre men and their henchmen allies force out a woman who was disabled by a shark attack but kept surfing. These wankers get "misgendered" and fall to pieces.

A disabled person continuing in the sport they love despite the horrific experience of a shark attack and the handicap of losing a limb — that truly is inspiring, whatever their sex.

An ordinary able-bodied man using his physical advantages to compete against women is just contemptible.

What nitwit thought that would be good PR for the company?

I'm a SCUBA diving instructor. I have loads of Rip Curl gear, but I won't be spending any more money with them.

How many TIMES? It's an opposition to MALES in women's sport ffs.....

What gets me is that if an actual woman looked like him she would never ever get a modelling deal. Real women are incredibly harshly judge on their appearance. But special trans women get a free pass!

It really shows that they do know who is female and male deep down.

So while we are teaching them a marketing lesson. We should be sure to drive it home.

There appears to have been a backlash

the company is apparently frantically trying to bury what it curled out. Bethany Hamilton is a brave and principled woman. Everything that 'Sasha' is not.

I think they’re just yanking our chains now, I’m finding it difficult to take it seriously.

Bethany Hamilton is an incredible woman and athlete, such a shame the bullies won. RIP Rip Curl!
