Was having a nosey as was surprised to see they had a page in it.

Given they've reeked of the EA, and given women experience a lot of traumas thanks to men or female related health issues/ care, you'd think they'd make sure if says sex rather than gender. Ffs

Cultural consideration
Move past cultural stereotypes and biases based on, for example, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, geography, race or ethnicity by:
• offering access to gender responsive services
• leveraging the healing value of traditional cultural connections
• incorporating policies, protocols and processes that are responsive to the needs of individuals served

This is surely blindingly obviously single sex provision.

Single sex provision is going to be crucial, yes.

But then it's all as clear as mud. What the heck is 'leveraging the healing value' supposed to mean to the average person in the street? Used to be that if it wasn't written in plain, accessible English things were considered badly written.

Yes, I'm not hugely clear about the whole thing tbh. Is this where "safe space" stuff comes from?

To be clear, I know we've had training at at work under this umbrella which was very useful and effective, but I can't quite square what that has been with some of this. And reading that, the "gender" bit is a big problem.
