The complaints made to the Labour Party about Rosie Duffield for her "antisemitism" and "transphobia" have been dismissed by the National Executive Committee (NEC) with no case to answer. She anticipates that she will again stand as the Labour candidate for Canterbury in the upcoming GE.

Quite. Today he's told us that he's always supported women's right to single-sex spaces, yet he has allowed Rosie to be bullied and ostracised by members of the party for her support for that very thing. So what's stopping him from pointing out that Rosie is merely supporting party policy and that anyone who doesn't like it can fuck off and join the liberal democrats?

In the clip I saw, the journalist definitely mentioned single-sex spaces for women in putting the question to him but Starmer stopped short of saying single-sex in his reply. At least no-one used the ridiculous distraction phrase 'safe spaces for women' 🤔

Got to love the brass neck on Starmer telling a room full of journalists that he’s ALWAYS 100% supported women on this issue 🙄

Now wouldn't it be nice if the Leader of the Labour Party actually stood up and supported his MP for Canterbury.

Yes, it might have been convincing if he'd disciplined Lloyd Russel-Mule, for example, over his testerical rant. But of course, I'm happy to see that rosie has been exonerated, even though the inquiry should never have been instigated at all.

On Reddit, a response to someone asking why Rosie was antisemitic:

"She claimed LGBTQ+ people were not killed in the Holocaust. That is outright Holocaust denial and is doing more to minimise the horrors of the worst thing done to mankind than 99% of the people Starmer has banned from the party."

So just outright lying Confused

I wonder how many of these people actually know what the complaint was based on?

Now if only Rosie could become leader of the Labour Party...then I'd be voting for them..

They have no clue..it's like if you ask one of the blue haired brigade what JK Rowling has said which is transphobic..they of course can't state anything because it doesn't exist. Their algorithms simply won't allow them to deviate from their view. Bay of Pigs all over again.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 05/01/2024 09:08

I thought the left of the Labour Party was famously anti-Semitic. Will they investigate themselves now? Or do they only see anti-Semitism when it suits them?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 05/01/2024 09:38

They are citing this decision as an example of how the party is institutionally antisemitic even though there was zero actual antisemitism involved Confused

Oh, for God's sake! That is beyond ridiculous, it's a modern day witch ducking.

If she's guilty, they kick her out, if she's not guilty, it's proof that, somehow, she's guilty.

Two birds, one stone then.

Labour have probably realised that in the run up to an election questions about why RD was no longer their candidate would have looked very bad for them.

Bosky · 06/01/2024 04:20

OMG - that LabourUK sub Reddit thread 😂

They are so behind the curve it’s like reading a parody of a backwaters forum where die-hard Little Englanders are still railing against decimalisation of the currency!

They haven’t noticed that their nonsense pseudoscience is common knowledge, that popular opinion of their duplicitous posturing is that it is tedious beyond belief and that only their duped “allies” still fall for sob stories like, ”All I want is to pee in peace, why is that so much to ask for?” 🤭
