How did this 'poor poor 13 year old girl' manage to drive away in a car?! Have the police arrested her? She can't have license or insurance?
I think it means that everyone in the swimming teams and pool management who are responsible and allowed this situation to happen need to have their hard drives checked.

That made me chuckle! In all seriousness it's a very good point - either you're actually 13 and can't drink, drive, work, are required to attend school etc, or you're actually and adult who is just pretending to be 13 in order to join in on the parts of teenageland that take your fancy (obviously its the latter).

I only found out about this today and it really does make me want to vomit.

I came across some tra reddit threads earlier. I only had a quick read. I rarely bother with reddit but it was called gender..cynical(?) And I misread it. One thread was talking about this. They said it wasn't happening 😡

People have lost their minds to go along with this shit. The venue owners, as much as anyone. That guy the interviewer was trying to talk to; does he have daughters? Can't he imagine?

The parents could shut this nonsense down in an instance by puling their daughters out of these teams and refusing to allow them to share change rooms. But they never do, they go along with absolutely everything and complain to the press. I’m not going to waste time getting outraged about it if the parents keep enabling it

The choice of name makes me wonder if the 50yo in question is a [former] Brony - because “Melody Wiseheart” sounds like an attempt at naming a character from MLPFIM.

It's definitely a trans issue here. How many places are going to allow a 50yo man (who presents as a man) into a female changing room with lots of half dressed teen girls? No one in their right mind will do it, no matter how old he professes to be! It's^^ because he claims to be transgender that people lose all sense of sanity and deem it a good idea because the alternative is being sacked from their job and having death threats from TRAs.

What really concerns me is thinking how many non-transgender predators are looking at this BS and seeing a way in? He will be somebody's idol out there. It's so disgustingly disturbing, it makes me afraid for my 13yo daughter.

I'm not sure I understand what the category is. If it's a junior comp why isn't he disqualified on age? Or it's not actually age limited and swimmers just peak young, but he's able to qualify for things a woman his age wouldn't because male?
Also is that a young lad a couple of lanes along from the chap in question?

Obviously the changing room situation is atrocious, but either adults are allowed or they're not.

It's depressing, isn't it. I do think it will turn around eventually, but like here, it will take time.

And the reason I don't think they tested, is because it's only women and girls who would be affected. They just weren't relevant enough to even think about.

When Sharron Davis was talking about sport in America, she said that women and girls get one percent of the funding that men and boys get.

(I know this is Canada, I wonder what percentage girls get there).
