What’s particularly distressing about this instance is the deliberate, planned tactical nature of it. Individual Men who get high in stress and testosterone behaving like that is one thing. Men deliberately, intentionally and in a wholesale organised way something else.

Rape is a common weapon in wars.
I think I posted some links on the last thread about it. Unfortunately male violence can be unbelievably depraved.

Absolutely. There is a difference between random rogue soldiers and deliberate policy.

And I highly recommend Lurata Lyon's autobiography if people want a first hand account of some ways in which sexual abuses/torture (amongst others) in war can occur. But it definitely should come with a warning that it's a HARD read in places.

I have not read that but will look it up.

‘Winter Soldier’ a film of the live testimonies from veterans from Vietnam at a special conference (c.1972) tells a lot.

Re: woman inciting/helping to organise rape, I remember hearing of that in Rwanda at the time.
