I must credit Michael shellenberger for the term 'leftugee', which describes my feelings of political exile perfectly.
I spoiled my paper at the last election, after nonsensical discussions with Labour and greens. I live in a tory stronghold, and whilst my MP is not particularly dynamic, she didn't disagree with my concerns.
Frankly i am so disheartened by the conduct of all parties, I have no reason to trust any assertion they make. They have been disdainful of widely held beliefs for years now..like they have never met their electorate.
My attitude isnt helped by watching back episodes of The Thick of it recently...which i honestly believe now was a documentary, rather than a satirical peice.
Sadly I will likely spoil again - which is in essence a vote for tories in my area.
I just don't know what any of them could do, or say, that would re-engage me. I have, and will continue to read contributions of others here, in an attempt and to inject some positivity.
