It seems that TRAs are complaining to the BBC about Emma Barnet’s interview with the endometriosis charity CEO. Please take the time if you can to send in a positive report of the show. Emma did a cracking job on challenging the erasure of the word ‘woman’ by the charity, amongst other points she raised so well.

Done. Shamingly, I misremembered Steph's name as Steve. Can't imagine why!

At close of play yesterday, the comments were 2 to 1 in favour of EB.

Eddielizzard · 18/11/2023 17:07

Where can you read the comments? I don't see them on the programme website.

Done.

I have submitted positive feedback.
I was disappointed, though, that Barnet did not focus on the key issue which is the charity’s insistence on using “non-gendered language”. I would not care much about the sex or “identification”
of the CEO if the charity defined its work correctly as addressing a medical condition that affects women (or, if they wish, add “people born female” or something like that). Prostate Cancer U.K. has a female ceo and a female chair — but the charity’s campaigns are focussed, correctly on men, not on people.

That, and the history this particular TW/bio male has of making misogynistic remarks and organising protests at women's events.
