That's so joyful and a pleasure to read. 😍

ArthurbellaScott · 09/11/2023 21:34

Int'it?

That's rather beautiful.

ArthurbellaScott · 09/11/2023 21:37

I can't help thinking the photo looks like a nativity scene with three wise women instead of three wise men.

That's a lovely story.

Awwww yes!

What a lovely story. Well done ladies.

IcakethereforeIam · 09/11/2023 21:49

Running down the road in their bras, putting out traffic cones, and mum, not even any gas and air. Superstars the lot of them.

WhereIsBebèsChambre · 09/11/2023 21:51

Oh am hormonal and stressed with an ill baby but this has made me well up!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 09/11/2023 21:52

I saw this the other day, probably the one nice thing I saw on Twitter that day! Lovely story.

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 09/11/2023 21:54

I’m crying. Bless them all ❤️

DisforDarkChocolate · 09/11/2023 21:57

Wow, some days we see proof that there is more that unites than divides us. What wonderful women.

LarkLane · 09/11/2023 22:00

I need to know more!
What's the baby's name?
Where did they get the traffic cones from?
Perhaps the Angels in the Sky were really Mumsnetters en route to a live parking thread?
If so, we need a diagram!😄

JanesLittleGirl · 09/11/2023 22:04

That is "womaning" for anybody who needs an explanation. Bloody onions!

Shuldda · 09/11/2023 22:06

That made me emotional. How wonderful

IcakethereforeIam · 09/11/2023 22:19

There was definitely parking. I'm glad it's not just me wondering about the cones! 😁

MrsOvertonsWindow · 09/11/2023 22:23

Lovely article and thread 😍

guinnessguzzler · 09/11/2023 22:35

What a story, thanks for sharing. Wise women indeed, well done!

Mmmnotsure · 09/11/2023 22:58

Well done, them.

If it had been three wise women at the nativity they would have asked directions, got there in time, delivered the baby, cleaned the stable, and made a casserole when they left.

BlessedKali · 09/11/2023 23:05

My cynical self thought this was going to lead to an article that said ' Three vagina's with bodies attached, helped another vagina-owner birth a mini person with a vagina.'

Thankfully, that was not the case. Phew.

Loverofoxbowlakes · 09/11/2023 23:18

That's local to me. There are about eleventy billion cones in that part of town at the moment due to the powers that be strangling Leeds with roadworks.

Tis a lovely tale though!

pronounsbundlebundle · 09/11/2023 23:29

I may have something in my eye. I love how incredibly happy the Mum looks holding her precious baby girl.

As an aside, there's loads of roadworks with excessive cones near us at the moment. The other weekend there was about 1 mile of cones cordoning off one lane of a two lane road with literally nothing happening behind them (completely empty space, no vehicles, no sign of work, nothing, for the whole of Saturday) - this is on a busy main road. The traffic's terrible - I've often wondered what the impact on emergency arrival times is. For all that people try and pull aside for ambulances, the near constant gridlock recently must hold them up. There seems to be no central planning or thought to it at all. At least 3 main routes into the nearest city have roadworks and that's where the only local hospital is and quite a few of the roads are apparently shut overnight too.

Anyway, very happy that this Mum and baby had a happy ending and some wonderful women stepped up at the critical time. Good on them for moving the cones! Glad to hear the excess was put to some good use!

stealtheatingtunnocks · 10/11/2023 09:12

A leg out the window?

crikey

RavingStone · 10/11/2023 09:29

Yes!
What awesome wonderful resourceful courageous women! All of them.

Huge congratulations to the parents and what a beautiful start for that little girl. She will grow up with the story of these women and know that there is such potential for goodness in this sometimes hostile world.

Thank you for solving the mystery of the miraculous roadcones!

That is such a beautiful story! (And seconding the ludicrous number of coned-off roadworks around Leeds).
