Is there any indication of how many people have signed yet? It would be great if there was a really obvious measure of how many people support this

James Esses said there were over 12,000 signatures yesterday but it's surely gone up.

Currently showing as 13,492 on the page. Don't know if that's only those of us who have been able to verify their signatures though!

I pointed someone at it this afternoon and got the obvious question: if one signs it, may one's name become public at some stage? Did anyone look into this carefully enough to know? For myself I decided I'd sign anyway, but there are probably quite a lot of people who will only sign if they know that won't happen. Though of course the more signatures there are, the more safety in numbers.

Ah, my verification email came through this afternoon, 13,000+ signatures at that point.

Also had my email this afternoon so looks like the glitches have been fixed.

I'm sure that I signed this last night but there was no sign of the email. I have just signed it again and the email came through straight away this time.

I too wondered why Debbie Hayton signed. Debbie insists on using the Ladies and getting Debbie's pupils to call Debbie 'she'.
