Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Thank you, JKR, for shining light on the capture of Australia to GI, & the hatred of women enshrined here in law.

As the rest of the world seems to be moving towards logic, science and reality, Australia once again shows just how captured our Government and Courts are to the thrall of TRAs & Gender Ideology.

Few people in Australia realise or care what Queer Theory being inserted into our very fabric means or will lead to. Those that fight it and seek to expose it are vilified, publicly abused, and castigated by the media.

Many thanks to JKR on X for shining the light on the women-hating laws/guidelines just enacted in South Australia. Gender Identity theory is enshrined in law, with gender pronoun use being made compulsory in court. This has started - a woman who has been raped/subject to male violence will have to use female pronouns for her (male) attacker, if that perpetrator is a TW.

This is not just a bench book written according to “Stonewall law”, it is blatant pandering to trans ideology and is absolutely shameful.

Harry Potter author slams new gender rules

Children’s author JK Rowling has lashed out at new gender rules set to govern one state’s court system, saying they could re-traumatise women who are the victims of male violence.

I suppose 'anxious' is one notch down from 'hysterical'. 😡

JKR nails it.

It’s also more than just the distress she might feel in that traumatic moment in court.

Its also that being compelled to use the wrong sex pronouns would absolutely stifle a woman’s ability to speak fluently and consistently when giving evidence, and the jury could wrongly interpret this difficulty as her lying about what took place.

It’s going to show in hesitancy, stumbling over words, facial expressions, in body language and all the small details that people pick up on. It would be almost impossible to come across as completely truthful when you are being forced to partly lie.

We know that rape and sexual assault cases are loaded against women already so who would want to make it even harder for women to give their best evidence. Oh yeah….

Fortunately the younger generation are far more liberal...

Aww, look at Mishy defending the feelings of rapists again.

Right now in the Amy Hamm hearing they are trying to compel her speech and force her to use the term transwomen rather than trans identified male.

I love JK Rowling so much. She's amazing.

This. Exactly. I have already posted a link to Barra Kerr's (Barracker on MN) brilliant essay on "preferred pronouns" today, posting it again for anyone lurking:

https://fairplayforwomen.com/pronouns/

Incongruent pronouns also make your brain work much harder; not just when you are using them, but when you are receiving them as information. You are working constantly to keep that story straight in your head. Male or female? Which one, again? Concentrate harder. Ignore your instincts, ignore your reaction.

So MUCH THIS.

It is over looked but HUGELY important.

Aww, look at Mishy defending the feelings of rapists again.

A little petty I feel. No-one is defending the rights of rapists. As the SA Court clarified, no-one will be compelled to use the wrong pronoun against their attacker. Clearly that is appropriate. But you do you.

HiddenLegoOuch · 08/11/2023 09:54

But Mishy, you ARE defending the rights of rapists - as you have supported that everyone else in the court process will have to use opposite sex pronouns for the male on trial. That will be re-traumatising for the victim, confusing, and either a blatant lie or compelled speech. If you can’t see how cruel and soul-destroying that would be for someone who has already endured male violence, then there is nothing else to say, except keep shining that light on the harm that Queer Theory/GI force into society.

Oh, and interesting to see that Mishy acknowledges that it would be the “wrong pronoun”!!!

Oh dear. Don’t worry. Those reading this thread will see that yes, you do defend rapists. If you don’t, can I suggest you are more careful in wording your scolds and attempts to humiliate women so that readers know that you are just humiliating women who disagree with you BUT not defending rapists and other male violence towards women

And the clarification came AFTER Joanne Rowling pointed out the issue. But please… don’t let facts get in the way of a jolly good scold now Mishy. You never have before!
