Anarchists banned from London Anarchist Bookfair due to alleged transphobia

Anyone interested in anarchist politics? Seems that one organisation (The Anarchist Communist Group (ACG)) has been banned from attending one of the main anarchist events of the year (The London Anarchist Bookfair). This was the event where Helen Steel was attacked by trans activists in 2017 for standing up for women handing out leaflets in relation to the intended GRA reforms. Seems that the ACG was formed when members split from another anarchist group (the Anarchist Federation (AF)) due to them (ACG) being critical of how Helen was treated. The AF had a presence at the Manchester Standing for Women event where masked activists harassed women and prevented them from meeting where they had originally planned.

Anarchism has an interesting way of continually showing why it could never be a viable form of social organization, unless you really like Might is Right.

Whilst I agree that anarchism could never be a viable form of social organisation, these types of shenanigans are going on in almost every political organisation atm including our mainstream political parties. Trans activism has a way of causing chaos in almost every organisation it comes into contact with.

Proper anarchy would be barring them, but them coming anyway, having a punch up with ends up with them all arrested because they turn on the police.

I'm involved in a number of anarchist groups and the one thing that always stands out is how strongly authoritarian most of them actually are.

This is actually a long standing criticism of the anarchist movement: even if you try to organise without any kind of formal hierarchy, informal hierarchies develop instead, and then it is more difficult to change the people in charge.

That's fairly standard revolutionary ideology. You do indeed have to overthrow the ruling class if you want to change things. Only problem is you then get another ruling class which will need overthrowing. Problem. Esp for anarchists.

I consider myself left wing. I believe in working class struggles and fighting racism.

The new left wing seems hell bent on abandoning working class struggles in favour for attacking women who try and protect women's right and safe spaces.

Trans women deserve respect but they do not have the right to dominate biological women who want to protect women's rights.

When it comes to toilets men and women's toilets and also single cubicles for anyone who identifies as the opposite sex or even a different species.

As long as people realise just because someone has deep voice and a beard they may actually identify as a lady. They may also be transpecies so may actually be a dog/camal/ or even a komodo dragon.

They may also be transobject so could also identify as a tent/ egg cup/ or a Garden fence.

Not too sure about the "sensible left wing folk", though. All the self-professed Communists I've ever known have been total loons - don't know whether or not they were members of the CPB, mind.
