So, I have no problem with this group, in principle, taking action in proper democratic fashion. And I don't think it is a hate group.
But it's not specifically focused on women's rights (though I think they support them, but not in a feminist way.) They are a fairly conservative Christian organization, and also have issues with things like some of Canada;s Covid laws (which were indeed batshit) and other things that Christian evangelicals are often concerned about.
Where I am a bit worried is that their approach to books and libraries is really unsophisticated. They don't seem to understand the really different missions of school vs public libraries, or how public libraries are supposed to approach controversial material. And as far as actually looking at the content in books, they don't seem to really differentiate between elementary and high school students, or graphic novels with explicit pictures or books on gender theory, and books like The Glass Castle or other serious works of literature that have some sexual content.
I don't think this helps with targeting the right things, and it doesn't make them seem more credible to many people who would almost certainly agree with some of what they are concerned with, if only they actually looked into it.
