Not very inclusive for girls and women.

I don’t know much about gymnastics but I enjoy watching it. However I do realise that it is one of those sports where they split activities based on sex eg women do the beam, men the rings etc (apologies if my terminology is off). How does this work when divisions are made based on GI?

Gymnastics Australia makes huge rule change for transgender athletes

The new rules are designed to make 'all members feel celebrated in who they are', according to Gymnastics Australia chief executive Alexandra Ash.

This links to some of the British Gymnastics policy and guidance. There is another piece of commentary which I will try again to link.
I am totally opposed to males in female changing rooms. The thing for me is that there is not a problem here that the TRAS are trying to solve. There is a narrative they are trying to impose. The idea that boys who do gymnastics are unkind to a boy who says he is a girl in a changing room, that is an invented scenario that the TRAS use.
By contrast, both British and Australian Gymnastics have clearly identified (but entrenched and difficult) problems to solve relating to culture of cruelty. The trans stuff diverts time and attention. That's the real story here.

This is a very good point. Doing gymnastics in the first place is a little 'nonconforming', it is mostly girls. And how would they even know it's a 'transgirl' not a long haired boy when they're in kit? They'd still have to wear a shorts uniform option or it would be extra obvious they were a boy.

If boys and men are being mean to other boys and men, this is a problem. And the bullied boy/man needs an alternative safe place to change.

This can be provided.

It does not require the sacrifice of all women and girls' privacy, dignity, accessibility and resources as some kind of consolation prize. It is perfectly possible to provide alternatives to males without mugging females and dumping all the problems on them.

And no one ever mentions what we do with the distressed, excluded, assaulted women and girls, it's like only the male feelings and needs are relevant. No one ever says to a male TQ+ 'oh reframe your trauma/learn to cope' as they do to females.

Which proves really, the goal is the mugging of women, it's yet more flailing around to try and find a reason that justifies destroying women's rights and equality.

There are male and female changing rooms in my local gymnastics hall. You have to walk through the changing room to reach the toilet cubicles and showers at the end. We only go to preschool gymnastics so I dont know how well they are utilised. They are pretty grotty....

When I say no changing rooms, I am thinking of gymnastics club premises. I can't think of one that has an actual changing room. Lots of gymnastics classes are at leisure centres or schools which may have changing rooms. I don’t know how the policy would work there.
Page 4 of the British Gymnastics guidance has a paragraph saying what I said - that gymnasts usually arrive in their gym clothes. Those who need to change tend to use a toilet cubicle. Little ones sometimes use beach cover ups - it's all a bit of a muddle through.
