Very good article. I share the writer's feeling of exhaustion that so much has had to be done by women and men, just to get political parties to recognise the most basic, common sense positions about the differences between the male and female of the species.

Absolutely. I think sexism is the water we swim in - we're so accustomed to it we can't actually see it sometimes. Then something like this happens and it is revealed.
