https://reduxx.info/trans-health-authority-cites-castration-fetish-site-in-guidelines/

Its a disgusting read but the jist is that the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (which according to this journalist the NHS has been using for some of its guidance) cited a forum filled with the most repugnant pornography imaginable, as one of its sources in their official guidance…?

Am I reading this right?

Trans Health Authority Cites CASTRATION FETISH Site in Guidelines - Reduxx

A global health body setting standards of care for transgender people is seeking to include men with castration fetishes under the transgender umbrella, and links to a disturbing site hosting written child pornography in its guidebook.

Yes, it is true.
It has been discussed many times here on FWR.

OK2023 · 18/08/2023 07:04

@DiabolicalFinial it seems to be a really old article … but no mention of this anywhere in the news that I can see?

Does anyone know if there have been any developments with this investigation?

Yes it is an old article, it has been discussed many times here, and yes you would think that the leading Trans organisation that recommends children be chemically castrated having links with a castration fetish website would be worldwide headline mainstream news. But it isn’t. Because trans.

There's no real developments but the guidelines are still up there on their website, eunuch section included, removal of age limits included and with the previous head of Mermaids as one of the contributors.
I sometimes think that's part of why its been so hard for us to gain traction until recently. Its so utterly terrible that most decent people hear it and think it can't possibly be true.
It's worth remembering that WPATH posits itself as the leading organisation for medical professionals for trans care, but that doesn't mean much.
Thats what it identifies as. It's not necessarily what it actually is.
These are self-appointed 'experts' who will include someone like Susie Green in their guidelines, a woman who has zero medical training and admits it, and who'll base an entire chapter on the contributions to a fetish website.
Iirc there's also been a number of slides from one of their conferences floating around where they bring up clownfish.
All pseudoscience

Reduxx, and iirc this is Genevieve Gluck, do forensic analysis and research. They dont publish things that haven't had perfectionistic fine tooth comb analysis. Worth watching her videos / interviews she's done on this.

It's astounding no one takes any notice though I expect they're all too scared

Can anyone tell me the links between the NHS and WPATH (if any)?

Or anything with schools?

thank you

NHSE have distanced themselves from WPATH (at least for GIDS, don’t know about the adult service). NHS Scotland are still fully wedded to WPATH.
