Nice to see this.

Curious, though, about the book beneath This is Not Propaganda, Adventures in the War Against Reality. Anybody read it?

The propaganda book does look interesting: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Is_Not_Propaganda

What does the text say describing the book? I'm currently the witches of vardo and it's really good, shows the uncomfortable truth about witch hunting back in the 1600s. Obviously fictional but the author did a lot of research about it all (and there are real characters in it). I feel whilst reading it some of the points can apply to now.

This is Not Propaganda is essays by British-Russian author Peter Pomerantsev, best known for writing about modern-day Russia.

It's about fake news and disinformation, with a particular focus on Russia, China and Trump. He writes about living in 'post-fact' times. It's thought-provoking and unsettling, but doesn't contain anything directly on gender.

You could argue its relevance to gender is the normalisation of fake news: how so many people come to believe something that simply isn't true.

His other book, Nothing is True and Everything is Possible, is his best work – a chilling deep dive into Putin's Russia. I've read both.

If you're interested in the whole issue of fake news and disinformation, the little book by journalist Matthew d'Ancona, Post-Truth, is probably the best short introduction.
