That's it, really: there's a 14-minute audible version for those too busy to read.

Interesting to note that solicitor David Isaac, not a widely recognised name, was vice chair and then chair of Stonewall from 1998 to 2012 and and then EHRC chair for four years from 2016-2020. I was closely associated with Stonewall in the noughties and very aware from around 2004-5 of the way queer theory was creeping into our discourse. Isaac would have been aware too. During his time there the EHRC put out misleading and legally erroneous advice to the benefit of trans individuals and the detriment of women. He was a senior lawyer: go figure.

Thanks for posting this.

Apart from highlighting how even the EHRC has given out factually incorrect information on trans rights, it is important to have in print the long, and planned infiltration of the establishment by TRAs.

And good to have the names named.

Many aren't aware that this dates back to when queer politics took over universities in 80s (although originating earlier) so in additional to creating the hidden networks through personal friendships, queer politics also laid the foundations of a misconstrued notion of gender, that has led to so many now passively accepting the message that sex and gender are the same thing.

I hope more will read this article.

And even that the DM (well it wont be the Guardian will it) pick up on it.

It's a hugely depressing read.

A great articulation of why the laws and EHRC guidance which supports the laws don't make sense.

Also why clarifying the definition in the Equality Act of sex to mean biological sex will need "careful consideration" (the advice that the EHRC gave the government in April). As soon as it's clarified, the full extent of how non-sensical the existing laws are becomes incredibly clear.

And it also helps explain the complexity behind the knock-on effect as to why the guidance for schools is currently blocked.

But yes, depressing.

Scary stuff, particularly when read in conjunction with the document mentioned in this article from James Kirkup, published in 2019.

This shows how incredibly successful the tactics outlined in the document he mentions have been. Basically the activists know that this extreme trans position will never be widely accepted, so it is vital that any legislation is forced through by avoiding any democratic scrutiny.

The document that reveals the remarkable tactics of trans lobbyists

A great deal of the transgender debate is unexplained. One of the most mystifying aspects is the speed and success of a small number of small organisations in achieving major influence over public bodies, politicians and officials. How has a certain id...
