Evolved humans in the future? Really?

So I was watching, because the other viewer was watching, a programme about thye possible ways extraterrestrials might help humans to evolve. (If they have had any influence in the past, I may have to have words if they show up.) These programmes are occupied mostly (well, I have seen few women) by men. Anyway, they had a model of an "improved" human, who happened to be female. With a tiny waist (they didn't go lower) and large breasts as big as her skull. Having been so equipped myself, to no purpose, I think they're crazy. Carry them around all your life for a few years use. And fall over from the weight. Why not have unobtrusive organs to become larger for the baby and then be re-absorbed when no longer needed? That would be an improvement. Desmond Morris, of course, had an explanation. Men's desires drove evolution in the first place.
A major improvement for humans would be for men to become more adult, and not have kinks and impose them on others. That is, for the men who need that. I'm not sure they should be defined as men at the current time. A child once tod my fellow watcher, that everyone needed "thinking brains", which he felt some lacked. If these male UFO-ologists can only think of increased mammary tissue as an evolutionary improvement, they need thinking brains instead.

Have you heard of the gut brain? Well, men have a third brain: the dick brain.

No they didn't. Or at least far less than biological needs/tradeoffs and secondary to that female mating preference. Hence why it's male peacocks etc which have the elaborate/unnecessary features.

It's just factually wrong.

Desmond Morris suggested that breasts developed to mimic buttocks when we switched to face to face sex from, well, work it out. I read it some years ago, well, many, and it stuck, I don't think about it much, but the memory is there, because I was shocked at the time.

Once the effects really hit of global warming, the type of humans who will rise and dominate will be the ones with resilience, practical survival skills, a capacity for hard graft and managed expectations, and a lot of courage. The up and coming generations from the third world will rock this.

The whiny, permanently needing caring for and pandering to, safe space reliant, computer fantasy life dependent, pomo addled unstable and unemployable will not be in a good position then at all.

If they made themselves infertile via puberty blockers, cross sex hormones and surgery they will play no role in evolution whatsoever because evolution by natural selection requires fertile offspring.

😄 I've never noticed men turning down a chance of sex just because of breast size. I think Desmond Morris is assuming men are turning down offers from multiple women!

Grumblemonster · 18/07/2023 14:53

Surely breasts evolved as fat storage against food scarcity?

Treaclemine · 18/07/2023 16:21

Now that makes sense.

But buttocks and thighs are much more practical for that purpose... they don't hurt when you run plus comfortable seating built in.

But most animals with offspring develop "breasts" and I definitely wouldn't say they have human-like ass cheeks?? 😂 I feel like that should be relevant somewhere in this theory surely!

My best guess would be back in the day (like, cavemen I'm talking) I'd imagine the mortality rate of mothers wasn't that great - And we know from history that wet nursing is a thing, so women are capable of "keeping" themselves lactating, right?
So surely if a mother were to die in child birth it would be beneficial for other mothers in that "tribe" to then nurse the newborn who lost it's mother.

Maybe I've not thought it through enough, but it seems the most likely reason in my mind. I believe this happens in chimp/ape groups as well?

I was thinking about other mammals regarding this and I can't think of another that develops the breast tissue in advance of milk production like humans do. My experience of pregnant animals is limited to FIL's labrador and seeing dairy herds though, so not extensive! But for most the breast tissue develops for the intended purpose and then shrinks again, I think? Certainly doesn't develop whether it's needed or not once the animal is mature enough to reproduce, anyway

Desmond Morris’ mouth mimics his arse with the sexist crap he spouted from it.

TangledRoots · 18/07/2023 22:32

Read about the aquatic theory. It’s explains pretty much everything.

Empowermenomore · 19/07/2023 15:17

😂😂😂
this is the last straw for me! from transhumanism supermarket of body parts to suit fantasies to non binaries been special beings, to the neurodivergent with special abilities to the otherworldly size 40+.

being just human is out of fashion!
