Can we talk about this?

A colleague asked my view on Pride at work, and I said I wasn't sure what was okay to say. She seemed surprised that anyone would think they couldn't speak freely...
Is the idea that we cannot say what we think just an illusion? Does anyone work in a place where there is a relaxed and open exchange of views around sex and gender?

A colleague at work asked your view on Pride or a colleague asked your view on Pride at work? For the latter I'd say I dont think it belongs in the work place. No, I wouldnt speak freely but if pressed might say it has changed a great deal and they seem too obsessed with transition these days.

I work for myself but don't publicly post anything; I just don't want to attract these obnoxious bullies.

But in retaliation I have become extremely politically active to defeat this anti-science anti-woman religion. I'm devoted to helping women organize and use their power as a voting block.
I've also left the GBTQ for good; it's obvious to me that Lesbian women should ally only with women.

I work in a public building and we always get a lot of people coming in after the Pride parade. They all look about twelve and are covered in make up, flags etc.

I saw a Tweet once that said "LGBT+++++ is just a fandom" which I think sums it up perfectly. I can't imagine that middle aged gays and lesbians leading quiet lives can relate to it in any way.

A few women have hesitantly brought it up to me and then relaxed and said 'you never know what people think about it.' So I think awareness and pushback are definitely becoming more mainstream.
