Repost as my previous thread got auto hidden for including an archive link

Four girls assaulted by a predatory teenage boy. Four girls whose lives have been ruined by this evil misogynist ideology.

Totally predictable and therefore totally preventable.

Girls are being sacrificed in the name of "inclusivity".

Enough.

NotRightNowNo · 28/06/2023 21:09

Thanks for the thread, I hadn't heard about this. Shocking and yet unsurprising all at once.
It never happens though.....

Helleofabore · 28/06/2023 21:13

This move to ‘gender nuetral’ toilets was insane and motivated by unthinking ideology.

These girls will be considered collateral damage and dismissed as ‘it was just one bad egg’ or ‘it would have happened anyway’.

those girls have suffered because adults are too determined to listen to lobby groups or to cut costs. No girl should have to experience this or to be considered collateral damage.

magneticmoon · 28/06/2023 21:16

😡

LizzieSiddal · 28/06/2023 21:24

FFS! The school governors need to be held account for allowing this to happen. It’s not as if these assaults cannot have been entirely predicted.

BettyFilous · 28/06/2023 21:27

Serious sexual assault? Jesus. Those poor girls. 😔 What is it going to take for this madness to end?

WhiteFire · 28/06/2023 21:32

Can I save the usual suspects from having to 'educate' us by just listing their arguments?

  1. SA also happen in single sex provision.
  2. Girls can also SA other girls.
  3. If a boy is going to carry out a SA a sign on the door won't stop him.
  4. You are calling every boy a potential rapist.
  5. They happen all the time, so, shrug.

I think that is pretty much the jist (other variations on the theme are available)

No child in school should be subject to a SA, and no school should be dismantling any of the current safeguards, and should in fact be strengthening them.

"The school, which is not being named by the Daily Telegraph to protect the identity of the victims, had not carried out an impact assessment on the provision of gender-neutral lavatories.

It could not answer questions on whether other lavatories which are designated male or female could be accessed on the basis of biological sex or a pupil’s gender identity because it does not have a written policy."

How have we let this happen to our society?

I was happy to see this part. I bet there'll be a fair few people thinking "shit!" upon seeing that, because who actually has done an impact assessment?!

Tippingadvice · 28/06/2023 22:19

I expect they will be getting a letter from Kemi and a request for a snap OFSTED inspection.

It is so sad that so many women and girls have to be hurt before common sense prevails.

Women and girls need single sex spaces.

MinervaBoudicca · 28/06/2023 22:19

Just awful.

I cannot bear it: collateral damage in the name of Stonewall

IANAL, but I reckon that alone would mean the school wouldn't have a leg to stand on if sued.

KiteofUncertainty · 28/06/2023 22:20

*all of that

MrsOvertonsWindow · 28/06/2023 22:24

Those poor girls. Totally predictable.
And yes - hopefully Ofsted will make a speedy visit as they're evidently failing in keeping children safe . Tomorrow they're busy in the bullying teacher's school but hopefully they'll make time for this school next week?

dimorphism · 28/06/2023 23:11

If the families of these girls want to take this school to court then I'm up for donating. I hope they do get an Ofsted and I hope whoever signed off the mixed sex toilets (the headteacher, presumably) is fired.

dimorphism · 28/06/2023 23:14

But even if heads do roll and even if the girls get a hefty pay out, they've still suffered immeasurable harm because adults were drinking the kool aid about a nonsensical ideology rather than safeguarding properly.

The toilets should have been single sex, and I believe the law says this too.

Lidlpopdrinker · 28/06/2023 23:16

I hope the families sue the arse off the school. Those poor girls. I want the schools hung out to dry and the people responsible hung out to dry as well. It’s about time we started having heads on spikes.

You forgot 6, you have a gender neutral toilet at home don’t you?

HorribleNecktie · 28/06/2023 23:24

I under stand why the school has not been named, but if I had a child due to start secondary in September I’d want to know if this was the school I was sending her to.

KiteofUncertainty · 28/06/2023 23:35

Suing the school will not erase the girls' experiences, but a judgment in their favour would focus minds - headteachers, governors and insurers.

IcakethereforeIam · 29/06/2023 00:00

Glinner tweeted a link to the archive of the article. Jic anyone hasn't been able to read it yet.

Datun · 29/06/2023 00:08

This is opportune.

They must be frantically crossing out chapter after chapter of the bloody guidance on a daily basis.

Clymene · 29/06/2023 00:23

I hope every single headteacher who has introduced mixed sex toilets against guidance and with zero impact assessment is having a sleepless night. I hope the phone lines are jammed with concerned parents tomorrow.
