Do we need this in Early Years education?!

I started working in education this year and recently joined a FB group for education professionals.

I saw this advertised for Nurseries and was surprised - maybe I’m really naive?!

Does anyone know anything about this organisation? Can anyone with a degree call themselves an ‘education consultant’?

To the question in your OP: No, we do not.

I don't know this organisation but yes, anyone can call themselves a consultant, it's a meaningless term.

Presumably the content is for the staff. In which case, why wouldn't we want nursery staff to be as supported and knowledgeable as staff working in primary/secondary schools? They will be working with LGBT+ families in just the same capacity if not on a closer, more regular basis.

Yes, we do need diversity training in EY.

Refer to 'Your grownups at home'.

Use 'some families have...'.
Treat others the way you would wish to be treated.

Refrain from commenting on non-heteronormative relationships, and accept any such partners, regardless of whether they are staff partners or parental partners.

There you go. I've delivered the LGB diversity training.

Sounds spot on to me @JellySaurus

Would it be ok to get them, you know, feeding themselves, dressing, talking, walking, sharing and taking turns, and toilet trained before we start indoctrinating them?
