Mess event cancelled?

Just received an email from IEPro:

Dear customers,
We do apologise but this event has been cancelled. All tickets will be refunded.

Thank you.

But I couldn't find an explanation anywhere. Anyone know?

The people he was targeting (LGBT+allies planning to attend KJK's event to protest) may not see it as a joke.

Meanwhile someone else on the same day says something along the lines of "let's give KJK a big NZ welcome in Belfast"(which really is obvs a joke) and several dozen gender critical people lose their minds over it.

Nobody can be this stupid. A woman in her 70s sustained a serious head injury after being attacked at that event. It's a miracle nobody was crushed. The police stood back and did nothing. There was nothing remotely amusing about what happened on that day and I'm amazed you have the gall to pretend it was all done for amusement.

Joke or not, I do think Glinner's choice of words was a mistake. Anyone (probably most people) who hadn't seen the full context could easily have read it as actual incitement to kill. In this respect, Twitter did exactly the right thing in suspending him IMO. It's the only thing they could do in any situation where someone's (legitimate or otherwise) defence is that they were being sarcastic.

It's only obvious to anyone with the full context of everything that it was indeed sarcastic. He's an amazing, if somewhat foul-mouthed, advocate for women's rights and this was a daft own goal in many ways. I'm sure he'll bounce back

@MerlinsLostMarbles I'm not convinced on your time travel/quantum reality theory i.e. that his show was cancelled prior to this tweet (which it was) and also as a result of this tweet.

I agree with you, that was a really stupid form of words for Glinner to choose. He might as well have added please report so I can be suspended again. I see he's back now, though. Good.
