Reading about the shooting in America, new article.

Title says 'trans murderer' and proceeds to use she/her throughout.

So I think 'Ah another case of a Man posing as a woman, committing a crime and it being reported as a female crime'

But then further down it says the murderer was born female and used he/him pronouns.

So why is it when a MAN says he's a woman, even if he's a rapist, he gets his female pronouns respected.

But a woman who says she's a man gets her sex based pronouns used?

I mena in relation to this particular woman, I don't give a shit, she's evil and I believe that SEX BASED pronouns should always be used in reporting so it stays factual and not confusing.

But just seems another situation where transwomen get fawned over and get what they want but transmen (aka Women) don't.

Just shows me that it's all about men's rights.

Also.

Transwoman commits violent crime and it's reported as a female crime.

Transman commits violent crime and it's reported as female crime?

How can they have it both ways?

I think in this particular case the person just has a very confusing public profile and the modern era news world moves so fast it took several hours for the complete picture to emerge.

Eg, Linked In account was in female name but with male pronouns in bio
Website (online art portfolio) was in female name
Instagram was in male name
Facebook was in male name

People interviewed (neighbours, long term family friends, law enforcement) used female name and female pronouns throughout.

We are yet to find out if the person had very recently socially transitioned (so the early interviewees were unaware) or if the person only ever used the male name online

An Instagram DM to an old school friend on the day of the the murders was signed off using both names with a slash.

On this occasion, I will give the press the benefit of the doubt. The person looks female, so the earliest police press releases were most likely made on a say-what-you-see basis.
After the birth/legal/female name was released and journos and interested members of the public found the various inconsistent social media profiles, things went really squirrelly for a bit and then landed on a consistent narrative. By then great swathes of the public had interpreted the confused messaging to mean transing in the opposite direction.

In more broad terms, who knows? There are a lot more male-with-specialgenderedinsides who are convicted criminals than there are female-withspecialgenderedinsides convicted criminals so the situation doesn’t come up very often.

Besides, in most criminal cases the press has to be a lot more cautious in their early reports so as not to prejudice a future trial. When the perpetrator dies at the scene the usual media cautions are completely jettisoned.

Fucking hell. It's an absolute circus. How can I be so difficult to state someone's sex.

If you are looking for any kind of consistency with trans ideology or language you will be disappointed.

Another woman here, who resents male crimes being categorised as female crimes,...... Gross.... Particularly when those crimes are mysogynist attacks.

Honestly I think it’s that “people” (in general) are hung up on the idea that a penis is more important than a vagina, and that you can ‘create’ a vagina but not a penis. That having a penis makes you a man (if you want to be) but if you don’t have one, you’re a girl.

Just my take.

I think its a couple if things.

I do think there was some general confusion from the reports that were coming out of Nashville.

But I think more care would have been taken if it was a TIM.

I think that's because of 2 things. 1/ men don't want to be associated with TW 2/ TW don't want to be associated with mens 3/ they are both male 4/ women don't count 5/ women don't count 6/ women don't count and repeat and repeat and repeat.

If I was being cynical I would say that newspapers and websites know that people are more likely to click on an article if the headline says 'woman commits sex crime ' or 'woman carries out shooting ' simply because it's more unusual. They just want an eye catching headline. And they can get away with it because of course the TRAs don't care whether transmen are misgendered.
