Chris Phelp on KJK and trans movement. This seems significant.

@MishyJDI continuing to come onto these threads and ignore the repeated statements that local Maori invited her while saying locals didn’t want her, gives the impression to me, a Maori women that you are racist because you are discounting Maori voices. In addition you are also condoning the violent way that white people treated Posie and other women, including a Maori steward who had her foot broken and an elderly women who was punched. I think these positions of yours are bigoted hate for women and Maori.

Boom! Well done KJK and all the NZ women organisers.

Wtf has it come too that multiple women were assaulted by transactivists before the authorities decided to take notice?

We're going to win this. Losing simply isn't an option.

ArabellaScott · 27/03/2023 12:31

The locals had every right to oppose

You are suggesting violent assault and threat is justified.

Your words are a perfect illustration if the problem: thank you.

She was a guest to another country, and spreading a message of division. The locals had every right to oppose a message of division, dressed up as "womens rights". Meanwhile, the UK right wing keep milking the culture wars.

Yeah because it’s only women’s rights if your prioritising men, isn’t that right? 🙄

Nailed it - a racist, homophobic, misogynistic, male supremacist.

There really are posters who support punching women so they can’t speak.

"A message of division?". How so? She says nothing hateful. She speaks about the right for women to just. be. allowed. to. talk. Have you ever actually listened to the women who speak at her events? Disabled women, women who have been raped, women who suffer from PTSD. And you are the perfect example of "well, she deserves to be attacked". Slow clap.

ArabellaScott · 27/03/2023 12:40

The 'message of division' is, presumably, that of women being divided from men, i.e. arguing for sex segregated spaces. Is that what you meant, Mishy?

Last week Keir Starmer stated a Labour government would commit to halving violence against women and girls , let's see someone from the Labour Party step up and condemn the violence against women we saw in NZ.

Whaeanui · 27/03/2023 12:42

Just so it’s clear, I explained that the words used were giving the impression Mishy is racist as that’s the definition of it, not including local Maori as local after inviting her. I’m saying this because I know calling people racist isn’t very accepted on MN and it’ll inevitably be reported.

Beautifully put.

@Whaeanui
I don’t know if you are new here or whether I haven’t come across your posts before but hearing your voice about the events over the weekend has been invaluable.

I also loved learning about some of the Māori feminists you posted about.

CryptoFascistMadameCholet · 27/03/2023 12:52

The only message of division I can see around here is the poster who appears to be advocating for assaulting women who have the gall to say things in public?

PronounssheRa · 27/03/2023 12:54

WhaeanuiWe all understand what you meant. Any movement which prioritises the voices and opinion of mainly white men, and prevents women including women from minority groups speaking, should absolutely be called out for what they are.

AmuseBish · 27/03/2023 13:01

Mishy's repeated dishonesty and implicit support of violence is what reassures me I'm on the correct side of history on this.
That and the fact when Mishy ever does attempt to answer a question it's almost always about 'what someone looks like'.

Whaeanui · 27/03/2023 13:03

@Faffertea I first joined MN must be 15 years ago when I wanted to make friends as a very lonely young Mum and I found another Maori family in my area! They moved in next door and all our kids were like cousins. I’ve been off and on over the years since as I end up leaving because I encounter racism and can’t deal with it. But thank you and hopefully I stay a bit longer this time as it seems a lot of non Maori kiwi women love to come in and give you all a very false impression with their ally theatre nonsense!

AlisonDonut · 27/03/2023 13:06

I want the division of men and women also.

I suppose I'm one of those that should be bricked for saying so.

Thus proving my point about why I want the division of men and women.

nilsmousehammer · 27/03/2023 13:11

We have posts on several threads today from a couple of posters stating in essence a belief that it is ok to beat and abuse women who even try to say things a male doesn't want them to.

It's an opinion. It is being debated, it's one many may disagree with, but it's here, being hosted, available for people to see within the context of the discussion and I don't think it should be deleted. How does it help to hide the reality of the conversation? Making the words disappear don't remove the reality of them being a part of this.

So if the 'beat her if she won't close her mouth' opinion is ok to stand, then there is no excuse to argue to remove posts naming behaviours as racist.

yourhairiswinterfire · 27/03/2023 13:17

Sick to death of men that sound like wife beaters crawling out of the woodwork to try and justify the battering of women, some pensioners.

I sense that there are some very terrorised women in the lives of these thugs, who have to tiptoe around on eggshells lest they say something The Man Of The House finds 'divisive'.

BoredOfThisMansWorld · 27/03/2023 13:19

Yes Mishy, "division".

Until the creepy dudes* you support at any cost stop harming women, I too want division from those of their sex, just SOMETIMES.

*Creepy dudes is a gender neutral term, describing males who do not understand or give a shit about women's boundaries.

So just as I say I normally leave due to racism a poster on another thread has said I don’t know anything about Maori culture and I’m not Maori. Just another racist pakeha. It’s the third time in as many days a racist NZer has been racist to me, my username I think provokes them

happydappy2 · 27/03/2023 13:20

The GRA Has to be repealed-we must be allowed women spaces

Hepwo · 27/03/2023 13:26

CryptoFascistMadameCholet · 27/03/2023 12:20

The left wing (whatever that is supposed to mean nowadays) are physically assaulting people and you blame the right for what? Saying it’s not ok to attack women?

Give your head a wobble!

Mishy complaining about anyone being "dressed up" as something else is inadvertently hilarious.
