TW are 5 times more likely than other men to commit sexual offences

...and other headlines from Sex Matters'analysis of the 2021 census.

sex-matters.org/posts/updates/what-did-we-learn-from-the-census/

"Key points:
The census suggests the trans population is significantly smaller than Stonewall’s previous estimates.

The questions and guidance designed by the ONS have not succeeded in giving reliable information on either the sex of trans-identified people or their overall number.

The trans population appear to be strongly resistant to requirements of honesty about their sex, even when that is legally required and the information is treated confidentially.

Young women are identifying as transgender at a higher rate than women in previous generations, and than the general population.

Males who identify as trans are five times more likely than other males to be imprisoned for sexual offences.

Those declaring a transgender identity are less likely than the general population to be victims of murder."

@Boiledbeetle no the questions were worded terribly weren't they. Really unclear and assumed we all have a gender identity iirc.

The age data are fascinating.

It shows a relatively stable proportion of transwomen across the age groups, and a hugely skewed proportion of young women and adolescent females compared to other age groups.

I mean, we knew this already, but I'll say it again. There are big sex-based differences in when, why and how people come to identify as trans, and lumping men and women together as 'trans folx' only ensures that planning and policy will be incredibly inappropriate for both.

To have changed from almost no women identifying as trans to an adolescent surge resulting in equal M/F figures is extraordinary.

I think I get you now @PermanentTemporary , you're saying that the number of young females identifying as trans roughly equates to the number of trans identifying males spread across all age categories? Again no surprise is it , but also needs addressing as you say. :-(

I wish I was surprised.

On the figures for trans, I've been told by an acquaintance that her TRA daughter and daughter's friends, who live together in a house share, all ticked that they were transgender to show solidarity with the most marginalised.

Interesting it was already clear to women working in tech spaces that transwomen are over represented in technology spaces. The census figures coupled with suggestions that even they might be over stated show tech is extremely over represented.

Questions need to be asked why they are clustered in specific areas, police and army also seem to have clusters. All male dominated areas with a hostile attitude to women. But not all ‘physically’ macho industries

I wonder whether this post pointing this out will be allowed to stay?

If only the world cared about facts. 😭

“her TRA daughter and daughter's friends, who live together in a house share, all ticked that they were transgender to show solidarity with the most marginalised”

Right so they committed a criminal offence (lying on census) and they think they’ve got the moral high ground?

The education system is a complete failure given it’s churning out idiots like those.

Also, if I am allowed to say this apropos of nothing:
paraphilias tend to cluster.

Absolutely true, and not surprising. Shame on those in authority who pretend not to know this.

IIRC I’m one of those people who put “no” for “is your gender identity the same as the one assigned to you at birth?” (I’m paraphrasing) and then put nothing else.

Because I don’t believe I have a gender identity & I know nobody assigned me one of those (or a sex) at birth.

They observed my sex, and had never heard of gender identity.

As they used to say: GIGO - garbage in, garbage out.

I'm writing to my MP with these stats.

@10in10 This written evidence submitted to the WEC in 2021 may help. It references ministry of justice statistics on transwomen sex offenders in 2019.

FictionalCharacter · 01/02/2023 19:53

More evidence, but this knowledge isn’t new. It’s just that anyone who tries to put it out there gets shut down.
We’ve had a small step forward with pink leggings rapist. We need another important one - exposure of the fact that “TW are the most vulnerable to attacks and murder” is a barefaced lie.
