Article on the recent study that showed women are full to the brim of fucking rage.

'Whether it is women across Scotland organising to protect their daughters’ sex-based rights in the face of gender ideology or women in India cutting their hair in solidarity with their sisters in Iran, women are fighting back. Women’s anger is fuelling a new wave of feminism. Not a feminism curated from academic texts and nurtured in coffee shops and on Instagram, but a raw, angry feminism with its roots in real life.

Women are fed up nursing their wrath at home and have taken to the streets in protest. They are lobbying governments. Drafting women’s manifestos. Starting petitions. Joining – or leaving – political parties. Women who have never raised their voice in anger are now screaming in fury at how societies – whether Scotland or Malawi, Arkansas or Tehran – continue to belittle women.'

Can't say for every woman, but for myself it's accurate. I'm ready to tear someone's hair out or kick them in the balls, whichever is more appropriate

So fucking true.

I am divorcing and intend to spend my future life talking and interacting with as few men as possible.

I am going to fill my home and life with feminists and bore the pants off everybody I know or meet about the patriarchy and entrenched misogyny.

Plasmodesmata · 10/12/2022 18:12

The BBC report links to their "100 women" thing.
That in itself is making women angry.

😂Brilliant!

The Herald article is more spot on than the BBC one imo!

The articles about women raging are creating a rage spiral. This could get dangerous.

@ArabellaScott thank you for sharing that Mash Report clip. I've had a bad day due to my DP and frankly I'm definitely gearing up for a "go fuck yourself" moment.

I am so fed up of my rage feeling somewhat impotent. I am just so fed up of the constant shit that women are expected to put up with.

Crazykatie · 10/12/2022 19:18

Dangerous, yes, but if it comes to a fight we are going to loose, we are not equal, the law says we are but we all know that’s just to get our votes. Men control the money, it doesn’t matter wether wether it’s Malawi or Manchester, we need to be smarter than them and you don’t do that by being angry.

ArabellaScott · 10/12/2022 17:58

That is my absolute favourite sketch on The Mash Report.

ControversialOpening · 10/12/2022 19:35

Arwa Mahdawi has an article in the Guardian on the same subject, but she’s a Nicola Sturgeon type feminist, so cannot bring herself to mention one particular cause of women’s rage.

ArabellaScott · 10/12/2022 19:38

Hm. Arwa - one more time, with feeling!
