Except no Trans people in Wales have been murdered, as many people point out:

Quite right, @Justellingthetruth, we do have a problem here with the erasure and eradication of women. No doubt you'll be back to explain to us how wrong we are.

Someone up thread points out that the Senned Tweet doesn't mention Wales and it's a worldwide day of remembrance. Are there any other worldwide days the Senned and others mark, even though their own country is unaffected?

I remember reading a comment by a black American TW in the sex industry. They had realised that the US murder rate for people like them had been greatly exaggerated (which I've read elsewhere too) and were very angry because it had made them feel unsafe unnecessarily.

These ridiculous shows should end.

I'd love to hear a positive message about trans people being safe in Wales. Would make more sense.

Yes, trans people are a very safe demographic in the west. If you happen to be trans, engaged in prostitution and living in Brazil - then yes, I'd have to concede, you are at risk of violent murder, but that might be because of the industry you're working in and not specifically because you're trans.

I am gobsmacked by the number of white middle class students or young professionals with special identities, living in the UK where there hasn't been a single murder of a trans person since 2019, pretending they have the same risk of violent death as a transwoman working as a prostitute in Brazil.

Why the fearmongering? Why is there so much time and energy being spent convincing this particular group of people that everyone wants them dead?

Indeed, but that would undermine the narrative of "the most victimised and vulnerable". There must be a reason why TRAs want to keep young gender-non-conforming people fearful...

Webbe has a criminal conviction, so isn’t a massively reliable source of info.

Indeed! 'On 28 September 2020, Webbe was charged with harassment of a woman between 1 September 2018 and 26 April 2020. She was placed on unconditional bail to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court. She was suspended from the Labour whip pending the outcome of the case. On 11 November 2020, Webbe pleaded not guilty. The harassment was directed at a woman who was having an affair with her partner, and allegedly included a threat to send 'naked' photographs of the victim to her children. The threats also allegedly included Webbe saying "You should be acid".

Webbe was found guilty on 13 October 2021. District Judge Paul Goldspring, the Chief Magistrate, said her evidence was "untruthful", and that her defence was "vague, incoherent and at times illogical".'

An appeal was dismissed in May 2022, but her sentence was reduced: 'The judge found that Webbe had not "made a threat to throw acid over" Michelle Merritt. The judge stated Merritt was an "unsatisfactory witness" who had "told lies".'
