Very distressing account of aftermath of 'Yeet the teets' surgeon's work

This is very disturbing indeed. How can a US surgeon do this and not be whatever their equivalent is of struck off? (Be aware, there are some very graphic images here, but towards the end.) To me as a layperson it appears that SG is extremely fortunate this patient didn't die. One revelation here is that she has opted out of medical malpractice insurance, which appears to mean she can't be sued. What? How does that even work?

Try that last line again...if young girls are given a magic route out of this they will sodding take it.

TheKeatingFive · 18/11/2022 20:42

I hope this woman ends up in jail

GrabbyGabby · 18/11/2022 20:52

I cannot explain just how much i loathe this woman and her sick, cynical, methodical exploitation of young women's confusion and pain for personal profit.

On the days that i just want to rollover and step away from all this, she is why i don't. She is fucking evil.

EdithStourton · 18/11/2022 20:55

That's appalling, and so sad.
What a horrible doctor.

Delphinium20 · 18/11/2022 22:11

She is a sociopathic ghoul.

BenCooperSuperTrouper · 18/11/2022 22:15

Surely her patients could at least submit complaints to her surgical body and have her struck off?

ArabellaScott · 18/11/2022 22:16

Delphinium20 · 18/11/2022 22:11

She is a sociopathic ghoul.

Yes. 100%.

WomenShouldWinWomensSports · 18/11/2022 22:47

I can't put my finger on why, but this reminds me of the Inca sacrifices. Basically these young women were groomed to think they were "chosen" and "special" and sent off on a donkey up a mountain to be carried to the gods. Invariably, they died of exposure. Some of them are quite well-preserved.

This doctor's marketing campaign and indeed the cultural hype like the pre-op lovebombing, as outlined by Lily, in the article above, remind me strongly of the ritualistic grooming and sacrifices of hair and animal parts that these young Inca women endured.

I suspect the future will judge this cultural surgical fixation with just as much horror and revulsion as we view the Incas with their human sacrifices of young girls who didn't know any different until the frostbite set in.

ForeverFaithless · 18/11/2022 23:20

Scythe Gallagher is a perfect description of her.

I've a few comments on Twitter that she has set up shop in Mexico, this would not surprise me.

BatCheeseIsFine · 18/11/2022 23:38

What is her motivation though, is it really just money? I don’t understand how someone with medical training can be so flippant and “comedy wordplay” (not saying I find it funny at all but YKWIM) and apparently unbothered about complications. That’s just so odd to me because if she wants to make money and get a good reputation for doing this you’d think she’d want to be as professional as possible. And do you think she actually believes in gender ideology (i.e. that these young females are men who need surgery to save them) or is it purely clear-eyed exploitation of their desperation?

I just find her baffling (as well as worrying).

Boiledbeetle · 18/11/2022 23:50

@BatCheeseIsFine money and a God complex. She probably doesn't give a shiny shit about the kids and gender ideology. She just realised early on this would be a money making goldmine. I'm convinced she's doing a long con.

Clymene · 19/11/2022 00:07

I think she has a serious mental disorder.

GoodWeatherforDucks · 19/11/2022 00:19

Yes, I think she is a psychopath. To so cynically target her vulnerable audience using TikTok in this way, shows she does not actually care about her clients. She’s not meeting a need - she’s actively creating a market. If those tweets about her responses to the obviously serious post-surgery infection are true, then she has no empathy whatsoever as well as a frighteningly low standard of technical ability

On another note, I found it astounding that her victim, having come very close to sepsis and death, is now planning to save up for ‘bottom surgery’. These people are obsessives - it is absolutely a mental illness to my mind.

MangyInseam · 19/11/2022 03:10

I find it hard to understand too. I can comprehend being a psychopath, but surely if you want to maximize your profits you will prefer not to have your patients die of infections? Because that looks pretty bad.

Because of this tweet, I think the further surgery is so they get to feel the trans euphoria and celebration that they’ve been promised by other transitioners stories that they feel they’ve missed out with the ‘top surgery’ because of all the complications.

Which I agree seems to be disordered thinking

I had the EXACT thought the other day...seriously - Incan sacrifices of the young children and how they found food in their bellies. I always wondered, who could allow this to happen to their child? And now, I know.

FrancescaContini · 19/11/2022 06:11

This person makes money from cutting the breasts off teenage girls. I too think she belongs in prison.

FrancescaContini · 19/11/2022 06:15

The tweet from “Rylan” upthread: this person needs to see a psychiatrist. Then get off the internet and do something meaningful beyond navel gazing. Perhaps volunteer to work with orphans in a war zone and learn about grief.

PriOn1 · 19/11/2022 07:21

Because of this tweet, I think the further surgery is so they get to feel the trans euphoria and celebration that they’ve been promised by other transitioners stories that they feel they’ve missed out with the ‘top surgery’ because of all the complications.

It does offer an interesting perspective. The language around transitioning about being on a journey also relates to this. Obviously to anyone viewing this rationally, it’s obvious that taking pleasure in the “journey” is problematic. If transition was a cure, then the destination would be the focus and the “journey” merely something to get through to attain peace of mind. Euphoria/joy about the surgery itself means that to attain and maintain that feeling will require a continuous stream of surgeries or treatments.

I can understand it, to an extent. For men it sounds like it’s all about getting attention and being nurtured and the feeling that you’re going somewhere. If your happiness is wholly dependent on going somewhere, then you will never, ever find satisfaction.

PriOn1 · 19/11/2022 07:24

For me, not men…

Clymene · 19/11/2022 08:07

Rylan's pinned tweet - a photo of four hands holding testosterone syringes like shot glasses tells you everything you need to know about Rylan's mental health and the cult they're in

We've been accused of feasting on their pain which makes it difficult for them to tell their stories. This makes me wonder how many others there are out there who don't feel able to talk about their post op trauma?

beastlyslumber · 19/11/2022 08:18

She's a psychopath. She's evil. Her motivation is easy to understand.

Much harder to understand the motives of parents who let their child anywhere near her. Or of organisations who promote her.

Yes, I have often wondered this about Gallagher too? Whats her motivation, is it just the money or does she actually believe she is helping these girls and young women? Or something else? The power?

I think the language she uses is simply a marketing strategy, she has basically said this herself, it's 'the language of the community' or something. I find it so sinister and just adds to the minimising of the whole thing.
