Norway does have excellent gender parity:
parental leave split between the parents by law.
Not entirely sure what it is exactly now but it used to be Mother: 9 months with 100% pay OR 12 months with 80% pay + Father: 12 weeks 100% pay.
You pay for GP appts, but free for the under 16’s and very reduced fees for under 18’s and pregnant women.
Nurseries are heavily subsidised: full time nursery 7 am - 4.45pm at a monthly cost of about £300. Reducted rates for siblings. Affordable wrap-around care at school, same times.
Normal working hours are 7 am - 3 pm or 8am - 4pm.
There used to be a cash payment for parents who wished to stay at home with the children until they were 3 yrs. I got £400 in cash Per month when my daughter was waiting for a nursery space when she was 2.5 yrs.
Women are encouraged in natural sciences.

what Norway now also has is seemingly a crazy law regarding gender and feelz. It is scary.
