Cross party biology policy unit set up to stop gender identity ideology compromising women's and children's rights. I can't believe it. I hope this is going ahead, we need it so badly.

It is launching a public call for evidence of the development and impact of policies based on gender identity theory.

Plenty of that available and documented I hope they are ready for the deluge of it they will receive.

As a canadian woman and a mother of a daughter this gives me hope. I hope it gets passed and it inspires americans and canadians alike in the future when they finally wake up to the non sense that is happening in north america.

Good news. And I think it's a smart move to call it the Biology Policy Unit, that will force the TRAs to campaign against biology.

Female politicians are launching a biology policy unit to stop gender identity ideology “compromising” women’s and children’s rights.
Labour MP Rosie Duffield, SNP MP Joanna Cherry, and Conservative peer Baroness Jenkin of Kennington have joined forces to help ensure policies across the public sector that are based on gender identity theory are documented and scrutinised.

Seems a good step forward. I assume they will continue to be threatened with violence from fascists because of this.

I note that ex-Home Sec Javid has testified at the independent inquiry into child abuse that child abusers are using a 'loophole' to change names and avoid detection by authorities. So there is evidence for a problem with name changes which is quietly being ignored by gender campaigners.

Thats a significant development, because you can't give special treatment if you have evidence that this method is being abused because it puts vulnerable groups even more at risk.

Good for all those women, and thanks for posting this, OP.

Sorry Red but I don't think he did testify. I think he asked about the DBS in Parliament:

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11349751/Child-abusers-using-loophole-change-names-avoid-detection-Sajid-Javid-reveals.html
"It comes after Mr Javid told the Commons: 'Can I just ask him particularly about the disclosure and barring service which I think is referenced some 84 times in the report.
'When I led a commission in 2020 into child sexual abuse and exploitation, there were a number of issues we discovered around the DBS service, but in particular the ability for some people to simply change their name and avoid detection despite being convicted child sexual abusers.
'This loophole has still not been closed by the Government, so can I urge him to work with his colleagues in the Ministry of Justice and close this as quickly as possible?'
Mr Shapps replied: 'It is very concerning about the DBS service and actually I have asked my ministerial colleague to look into this urgently and that work is already under way. So I will report back to the House.'"

And I think when he says his commission, he means this:

This sounds positive. Its great to see those politicians from different parties working together on this.
It's from policy exchange. Good article by maureen ohara on their web site.
us2.campaign-archive.com/?e=1facedcfda&u=9b84930db1f42eef43c1b869b&id=94b0c5455b
Hope the link works. It's on Policy Exchange web site if not.
But it does illustrate that this has been adopted as a concern of the political right (they are a right of centre influential think tank) when we have 2 years to get labour to change their tune.

Isn’t this an informal group, a campaigning group in effect, rather than one set up by Government?
