NHS England have just published draft specs for services with gender dysphoria. Amongst other things has suggested:
- A move away from the affirmative model pushed by Mermaids
- An emphasis that primary intervention should be psychological, not medical
- Only prescribing puberty blockers as part of a formal research study
So with this in mind, will labour back down from their promise to ban 'conversion therapy', which we all know is just exploratory talk therapy? Or will their approach make the NHS's advice illegal?
