There's a certain type of man who sees women like dogs. We love our dogs, we look after them, we court their love, but we don't trust them to make decisions or offer worthwhile views because as much as we care for them, they aren't people. Yes. I hadn't really put my finger on what is wrong with the term accountability, but accountability is what we hold people to who say they will do something or who have a responsibility to do something - it is about keeping people on the straight and narrow. You don't hold people to account just for having/expressing opinions. You can legitimately challenge them or argue against them and judge them by their responses, but that is not accountability.
