Este Lauder are at it too. Womaning means you can wear pink!

Hoppinggreen · 17/10/2022 07:21

I actually thought this person was parodying Transwomen at first but apparently not.
They are awful and a insult to women

Obviously I’m not a woman then. I hate pink.

NotYourCisterinAus · 17/10/2022 07:37

The thing I most remember about my "girlhood" was the sheer misery of it all once I hit adolescence. Funny (not funny) how people like Dylan seem to think that girlhood is all pretty frills and cutesy language!

RocketPanda · 17/10/2022 07:47

For the majority of girls in the world girlhood is dealing with periods whilst having no access to toilets and water, being less than the males in her family, the fear of being forced to marry at 12 and then her life in danger with each pregnancy, the threat of rape and murder every time they leave their house. That's the reality of girlhood. Not fluffy make up sales.

ReunitedThorns · 17/10/2022 08:40

I wouldn't say that he is doing an expose or anything, but it seems clear that it is a knowing comedy character and he's able to make a lot of money out of it.

Brands should have more sense than to employ him. But I can't get outraged over the guy himself, more of an eyes roll sort of thing, as it's tiresome humour.

But never heard of this brand before, so whilst this feature is stupid and insulting (featuring two men), it's done the job of getting the company name out there.

Treaclemine · 17/10/2022 08:47

I note Dylan is described as an "actress" when many, probably most women in the profession go for "actor", because it sounds moer professional rather than flibbertigibbet trivial saying stupid things to bishops.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 17/10/2022 08:59

It’s a huge well-known brand in America. I don’t think their marketing team are going to be counting this as a win.

The responses to them were quite heart warming to read. Women are so over this shit!

NecessaryScene · 17/10/2022 09:03

This seems to be universal in Woke style.

Transwomen are always "actress" because in Woke rules "actor" would be transphobic misgendering. Anything with even the slightest male gloss must be avoided (eg guys, etc), even if generally accepted as sex-neutral.

Women are always "actor" because in Woke rules "actress" would be sexist.

Woke rules are hilariously inconsistent, and frequently very revealing of underlying truth.

Her Instagram - Kerry Washington 😮disappointed to say the least!

FictionalCharacter · 17/10/2022 10:00

Estée Lauder are at it now too, showcasing a TW called Cricket. They’re getting hammered on Twitter and have responded by saying some of the responses don’t “align with their values”.

QueenHippolyta · 17/10/2022 10:24

Why does Dylan remind me of an extra in "Bewitched"

TheClogLady · 17/10/2022 10:28

At least Cricket has a legitimate job at Estée Lauder (although the ‘living in full colour’ line is twee, I suspect the pink is to do with the breast cancer awareness link elsewhere on their Twitter right now)

Lots of people must’ve objected to Cricket because Twitter AI has marked the tweet ‘potentially sensitive content’!

Well, you wouldn't have Ali G discussing in all seriousness what it's like to be black. 🤔🤔🤔

We truly are post-satire. How did this even get made?

I agree. When I first saw him I also thought it was some kind of spoof. The sort of thing that used to appear on The Fast Show or Little Britain. Part of me still thinks it must be because he comes across as such an OTT needy lunatic 😂

CrispThief · 17/10/2022 11:32

TidyDancer · 16/10/2022 18:27

Dylan infuriates me to such a degree I low-key suspect he's having us all on and it's part of a long term exposé of how ridiculous this ideology has got, a bit like the fake tits on the Canadian teacher story.

Ulta are not helping themselves by hiding the replies, it's just focusing everyone on how many there are that they don't like.

Absolutely. I reckon there's a finishing school for these geezers. They produced Lily Madigan as well. Mission to undermine the left & distract from the disastrous incompetence of the right.

MenopausalMe · 17/10/2022 11:46

I was about to point out that even if they’d been female Dylan was way too old to be thinking about becoming a mom and thought I’d look up their age.

25 Shock I’d assumed Dylan was well into middle age from the odd annoying tiktok I’ve seen.

25 is adult though not a girl/child

Beowulfa · 17/10/2022 11:54

The other day a poster (apologies, I forget which) posted about International Day of the Girl, with the horrifying stats about global cause of death for 14-19 year old girls.

Any male simpering about their "girlhood" should be referred to it.

THIS Cricket Temple? "Put all kids on pubery blockers" Cricket?

Is it Dylan that calls vaginas Barbie pouch’s 🤮🤮

Bugger whilst I know it’s overpriced I like Estée Lauder products and they suit my skin. Don’t want to have to find a new brand that works for me but I am not supporting this erasure of women

Redshoeblueshoe · 17/10/2022 12:25

QueenHippolyta - exactly. I have never seen a woman with their hair like that, Bewitched seems right.

Deadringer · 17/10/2022 12:39

Well it looks like Ulta are getting their arse handed to them. Why are so many companies doing this stuff when it alienates so many of the customers. The mind boggles.

ReunitedThorns · 17/10/2022 13:24

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 17/10/2022 08:59

Perhaps, but they may also think that the people they're upsetting weren't their customers anyway and if it makes the brand more successful with TikTokers they could see this as a win.

Unlike shops in the UK like M&S, Primark and organisations like National Trust who seem to be upsetting their own customers/members to cater for people who aren't interested in them in the first place.

Still, this guy seems like an intentional joke, a grifter, and companies like Ulta have been duped.
