Just found this book on Internet Archive - you can borrow it for an hour at a time.

it looks fascinating.

'The author presents the previously untold human side of the story of prehistoric textiles, the relations of women and their textile work to society and economics over the huge span of prehistoric and early historic times'

That does sound interesting, thank you. Have you been able to read any of it? Not sure how much I will get through in an hour...

I found a copy in a charity shop in between two of the lockdowns. Very interesting indeed.

Only read the intro last night! You can usually keep re-borrowing, I think. So just have to refresh every hour.
