Can't see this shared yet. Safeguards promised for Scottish children seeking to change gender, by December 2023. Not rushing it, exactly.

I'm sorry, what?!

'Safeguards for children seeking to change gender will be introduced in Scotland ... Details of what the guidelines will cover have not been released but they are due to be published in December next year'

Are they saying ...

are they saying there are no safeguards in place, currently? And that they plan to introduce some at some point late next year?

Tell me I'm reading it wrong, someone.

'A spokesman for HIS said: “There are currently no national standards of care for gender identity services in Scotland'

Confused

Is that because someone pointed out WPATH, which they previously held up as best practice, was a lobby group that included eunuchs in it best practice guidelines and linked through to a site hosting fantasies of horrific child abuse? All linked to the sandiford Web page?

Sandyford is a national disgrace. When we were trying to get it looked at all we got was sturgeon and co running round claiming that it was nothing like the Tavistock and sooo safe yet now we find out that its worse than the Tavistock but won't be changed or have any standards of care until December next year so after the cass review is finished and the new clinics in England have taken over from the Tavistock and after they have forced the gender recognition act changes through.
Still if even the SNP are finally admitting there could be issues with the gender affirmative care offered at Sandyford then that is a massive win (if they actually follow through)

At a guess, they're wanting time to make some up.

Shall we open a book on whom they will consult to write them? Because my bet goes on it being no one at all with any qualifications in safeguarding or medicine.

Or children.

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/06/15/scottish-nhs-eunuch-should-gender/

This website was down for a couple of months, while the NGICNS conducted an investigation.

www.ngicns.scot.nhs.uk/

I see no mention of the outcome of said investigation. Nor do I see any links remaining to WPATH standards of care. I presume that is because the WPATH standards of care includes 'Eunuch' as a gender identity. And as has been revealed by Reduxx, has some unsavoury not to mention illegal links within some of its documents.

I've heard that the practices at Sandyford are less safe than Tavistock. I don't have any evidence to post but a clinician who works there just shrugged at me when I asked her about detransitioners. She said they can't track them so they don't, but acknowledged that it was not good enough.

I don't know how she sleeps at night.
