You can rename it whatever you like. It's still Quiddich. You can try and erase it's past. But it's still Quiddich.

It never could be much like quidditch without the flying broomsticks or autonomously flying snitch, so if they want to rename it to avoid copyright I think they should go right ahead.

It's good for students etc to be able to play slightly daft games. There was one that was popular for a while that was sort of a cross between Frisbee and basketball, where I think the players bounced on a mini trampoline to give them extra height to score goals.
My worry about quadball would be that if one player tackles another, or just trips over, they could sort of stab each other with their "broomsticks" which could be quite nasty. But that's for them to sort out.
