For Women Scotland to raise another Judicial Review as Scottish Government is breaking the previous Judicial Review ruling 'However, the Scottish Government has issued new statutory guidelines which state transgender women should still be counted as female in the workplace quotas, so long as they hold a Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC).'

article in the Telegraph archive.ph/OWZdE#selection-1415.0-1419.150

since they won the last JR they are looking for substantial costs back which should help with the finacing of this JR.

Scotgov are determined to push their outlandish ideas despite the law and the electorate telling them no.

It's really very puzzling.

GibbonsGoatsGibbons · 21/07/2022 10:17

Bunch of chancers 🤬
All while pushing self ID through so the GRC population explodes.

(slightly enjoying the previous result funding this one - raise funds for one case then keep using the money because ScotGov are that stupid. OTOH it's our bloody taxes paying the other side)

Hoardasurass · 21/07/2022 10:29

This sort of shit is why the snp lost my vote years ago

334bu · 21/07/2022 10:36

The Equality Act is the only thing that can stop the SNP from removing sex as a protected characteristic and redefining the word woman/ female to include men.

Humbold · 21/07/2022 14:21

So ForWomen Scotland have yet again got to spend time, energy and money on getting the SNP Government to adhere to the law. How dare they try to ignore the ruling of the JR and make up their own rules. Do they take us all for idiots? It's such a fucking outrageous insult. I'm livid! What do they think they're playing at?

Fimofriend · 21/07/2022 14:25

They are playing at being a bunch of misogynistic bastards!

Is it really?

There are many many instances of the SNP gov trying to pick through unpopular and unworkable things.

They know they don't have a majority for Indy but they are trying to force that through. Not to mention the names person legislation etc etc.

They don't do democracy. They are an authoritarian party. Ideally they want to be a dictatorship

Rainbowshit · 21/07/2022 14:33

Pick =push

exactly
named person made that abundantly clear

PearlClutch · 21/07/2022 19:41

Yes, I find it puzzling. Why persist with unpopular, unworkable, illegal actions that have no discernible benefit?

The Scottish government has been doing that since the SNP failed in its separatist bid in 2014.

The SNP is continuing to push a second referendum despite the majority of voters having voted for Unionist parties and there being no legal basis for one.

Have you only now noticed that this about the SNP?

Well that basically describes the sole raison d être of the SNP- to push an unpopular, unworkable action that has no discernible benefit.
