Is there a template letter for schools re gender neutral toilets?

Elder DCs school, 1800pupils, only has gender neutral toilets. DD isn't particularly fussed other than politically a bit annoyed, and there are fewer than 10 trans/nb students in the whole school (many more Muslim girls who now can't redo their hijabs in front of mirrors).

Is there a template letter somewhere on the web to send to them? I am raging

Interestingly DS school (a different one) has gender neutral and single sex toilets, and all the kids have unofficially designated the gn ones as male and female

Amazing, thank you.

I'll name change after this but I work for a big uni and discovered the other day that we have been recording gender as sex. This had huge implications, no one seems to care. We spent 30 mins in a meeting room coming up with the wording to ask students sex, gender id and whether they differ. My tongue was practically bleeding from biting by the end.

Have a look at womansplaceuk.org/2018/11/12/mixed-sex-toilets-ins-chools/

Stick to the legislation, sex
Female
Male
gender reassignment
Yes
No

You should ask the person in charge of data protection what 4% of turnover and how the Financial accountants are going to work out a contingent liability for collecting sensitive data a without lawful reason.

For especially severe violations, listed in Art. 83(5) GDPR, the fine framework can be up to 20 million euros, or in the case of an undertaking, up to 4 % of their total global turnover of the preceding fiscal year, whichever is higher. But even the catalogue of less severe violations in Art. 83(4) GDPR sets forth fines of up to 10 million euros, or, in the case of an undertaking, up to 2% of its entire global turnover of the preceding fiscal year, whichever is higher.

Universities are compelled to collect this as we have to return it to statutory authories, we make this clear to students and they have to consent to it (they can declare info refused if they wish).

We don't ask pronouns (though there is a creeping trend to put them in signatures) our EDI training also stated that gender id is protected under the Equality Act and have butt yet replied to my rebuttals. But I have to be so careful as my (otherwise lovely) colleagues think using cis is valid and respectful.

Here you are OP. This is wide ranging guidance that really makes schools think about the legal consequences for them of following the trans extremist demands for schools.

This snippet from the Sex Matters guidelines says it succinctly:

"... pupils who are experiencing gender issues, or who identify as transgender, should not be treated less favourably than their peers, but schools should remember that such children have not actually changed sex. "

The Uni/statutory authorities may have been stonewalled and using the term "gender id" (the way "gender" was used for "sex") but they are going to be looking for data on "gender reassignment". If they are not looking for "gender reassignment" what legal basis are they collecting the data because public policy data collection is usually based on existing legislation. And in order to compel (with penalty) there has to be a basis in law. The Uni should be looking to tag their data collection points to Act X Section Y. This would be important for the Uni if the Uni decide use the data to decide to do or not do something which would allow someone with a protected characteristic to sue.

In your schools case the management are creating a hiearchy of PC by making the toilets mixed sex.
In an area with an ethnically diverse school district with a high Muslim population would this be indirect discrimination on sex, religion and race grounds?
Is it more or less likely that a muslim with strict adherence to modesty rules would be white?
Would modesty rules apply to both sexes but one sex may need additional provision?
If there are two or more schools, is it likely that the school with single sex provision would end up with more girls generally and specifically more Muslim girls simply because of the decision to create a PC hiearchy?
How is the school justifying single sex provision for changing rooms when all other services have been changed to accomadate a specific PC?

I did add in about religion too as without completely outing myself it's a state school in Croydon, hence highly diverse
