I am in ongoing conversations with the local primary school about how much gender identity stuff they do or don't teach. I'm sure I have seen an article that quotes a study suggesting that even social transition can cause problems. It said that a child can be happy in their new gender but time passes and for many reasons they feel that warm fuzzy glow fade but they can feel they've deviated too far from old gender and so can't go back so the 'obvious' solution is to start medical transition. I think this would be a case winner for me as I could argue it's not that children shouldn't be taught it it's just primary school is too soon.
Mumsnet has been so helpful in the past, does anyone know what I'm talking about? Any other short, easy to understand resources would be appreciated too. Thank you
