BBC Wales still following the Stonewall line

I see that BBC Wales is still pushing the TRA message:

Jen's stickers weren't anti-trans, they were against domestic violence.
And they're still pushing the sharp objects line:

The force, however, said it had arrested her for stickers "directed towards the transgender community", with some found to "have sharp objects behind them" .

Here's the page that tells you how to make a complaint.

Click the Make a complaint button to send an email or phone the number if you think this needs tackling. This is not neutral BBC reporting.

No, it isn't neutral. The implication is that her stickers had sharp objects behind them which is a damaging allegation that can not be clarified or challenged now the charges have been dropped.

Exactly. If I get time over the weekend I'm going to contact Stephen Nolan and Time Davie. Things may be a bit better in the BBC in England but Wales is holding out — as is the Welsh government, which is now beginning to look extremely foolish. Wales isn't quite Scotland, but it would like to be.

We are in serious trouble here in Wales. The advantage Scotland has is the better developed civil society and separate legal system has given gender crits a way of challenging the government. Here in Wales we are doing our best but we are being steam rollered.

The Welsh government want to devolve the GRA so that they can bring in self-ID in Wales.

It's quoting the police force:

'The force, however, said it had arrested her for stickers "directed towards the transgender community", with some found to "have sharp objects behind them".'

What's not clear is whether this is what the force said at the time, or whether they're still saying it. They really should clarify that. I think the fact that the CPS has chosen not to prosecute suggests that the police didn't have any evidence of sharp objects being placed behind the stickers.

BBC responded to my complaint

The editorial team believe the report is a fair and accurate account of the case. However, amendments have been made to the report for greater clarity.

At least they have separated out the sharp objects making it general advice rather than an allegation about Jen.
