BorisJohnson proves once and for all that he's just been pretending to be a bumbling idiot all along.

Why is the interviewer using the phrase conversion therapy FFS?!

Come on Labour catch up now please?!

@bellinisurge
Back in 2020 Carrie Johnson tweeted:
"Transwomen are transwomen. And that's OK."

When did she become full on TWAW?

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 07/04/2022 12:19

@bellinisurge
Actually my mistake and I take that back as I think that was a different Carrie Johnson. Apologies for muddying the waters.

bellinisurge · 07/04/2022 12:19

I didn't know that. I thought Carrie Johnson was full on woo woo. Good for her if she is.

bellinisurge · 07/04/2022 12:21

@SirSidneyRuffDiamond , cheers for the clarification. I agree with the other Carrie Johnson, then . TWATW . I'm being kind and not saying they are men.

And now what?

Given that this shitshow has happened on his watch while his Govt stared pointedly at the ceiling or their shoes are we supposed to now celebrate? Words are easy (not always for Boris, granted…) but as yet I’m seeing nothing that suggests they’re translating those words into actions.

By all means vote Tory if you want, but please don’t use these backpedaling platitudes as justification.

bellinisurge · 07/04/2022 12:30

I'm not voting Tory. I'm also not voting Labour. The only way Labour win under our current electoral system is by getting a massive ground swell of support. They alienate enough women, they don't get sufficient electoral support. This is for them to fix.

bellinisurge · 07/04/2022 12:32

Yes this happened on the Tories watch and they've opened their eyes to the electoral possibilities of stymieing Labour. Who still have their eyes closed.
They just need to stop this getting worse. That's a start and it costs nothing

Floisme · 07/04/2022 12:36

Oh for goodness sake, Johnson's remarks were a tactical move. That's what politicians do. It was entry level stuff and Labour could nullify it any time they wanted with a simple statement that they have no intention of changing the current legislation. But it seems they prefer to let a serial liar with a record for incompetence make them look shifty, duplicitous and stupid. Take it up with them.

SirChenjins · 07/04/2022 12:38

No, they don't need to just stop it getting worse - they need to hold their hands up, say 'we got this horribly wrong' and start to implement changes at Govt level now that reverses this appalling situation and removes the power of the TRAs. They have done none of that - none.
