Has anyone seen this report? www.ncl.ac.uk/mediav8/gps/files/One%20of%20the%20Lasses%20Report.pdf

I haven't had a chance to read it properly yet, but as I skimmed it, this quote jumped out at me: "We make it really clear to all women when they access [the service] that there is the potential for trans women to be in that group and that that’s just how it is.” (Staff, women-only service) ... in other words, like it or lump it, ladies!

Weird, did they only ask people who continued to use these services then? Who asked the people that won't use them for various reasons.

First rule of evaluation, ask yourself why eligible people aren't using your services, not why they are.

I just love this new selective reality in consultations and writing where you post the whole thing but just pretend that you can't see the bits that mess with your personal agenda and expect everyone else to join in and not upset you by pointing at evidence you don't like.

It seems to be the latest tactic - hold a 'consultation' which you actually use as a means to disseminate the correct view and 'educate' anyone who takes part.

They think people are stupid and can't tell when they're being manipulated. It actually undermines trust and damages relationships to try and trick and pressurise people into taking a position they don't actually hold - same goes for misrepresenting views.

For example, in this report we see the dismissal of the 'minority' of views who don't agree with the overarching narrative of the report, with the explainer qualifier of 'they have no experience of it'. Implication of course being that if only they'd agree to allowing males into the service they'd get over their hang ups and learn to cope.

Excellent point.
